Pen went to CCR on Wednesday for a@little pre run before Saturdays SJ qualifiers at rectory farm and tbh with him he was a dude just one pole and he makes the jumps look tiny slowly we are getting there đŸ„°

Pen in his first jump@lesson at the yard the other day and he is really beginning to understand where his legs are. Poppet had a flat lesson as well and as always he done his perfect smiley face to remind everyone how cute he is, those who know poppet know how quick he can disappear and how sassy he can be, but also know how much he likes to try and be mr perfect he tries his little heart out for me đŸ„°

Pen at Pontispool residential camp at the beginning of June , learnt a lot from a few days away with him, i didn’t realise how much pen loves food until camp he is a greedy pig god knows where he puts the food he eats but he does not stop eating, he was so good on the XC lost his head a little bit towards the end but overall contained him self, SJ we really clicked and managed to figure each other out a bit, Flat work is always going to be a working progress with him we have good days and we have bad days where he got tired he just didn’t want to know on the flat but he still turned up behaved and gave it a go đŸ€·â€â™€ïž what more could I want from him đŸ„°

Have space for retirement/semi retirement maybe a small pony, part or full livery at my own private yard in duckhole (Thornbury) Lovely quiet yard in the middle of no where with 2/3 other horses, amazing of road hacking for miles 24/7 turn out in the summer winter is weather dependent but if not in field have hard standing yards stables with yards so never shut just in stables can be Hurd turn out with the other boys or can be separate. hay/hayledge bale in feeder in yard so as much hay as want but also can be restricted if needs to be, bedding of choice water troughs in field so no need to lug water to and from fields in the heat or wet.

My son always comes first, but I am very very lucky that some of the people I work for let me take him to work when something happens with my child care, I work for some of the best people and get some of the best people to help me đŸ„°

So I have been very quiet on here again I have been flat out, juggling working, collage, coursework, shadowing to get my hours in, leather work and a 18 month old and a 40 year old baby đŸ‘¶

Pencreek has been awesome we have been out and about doing little bits he has finally settled with his jumping and is now comfortably jumping 80 which is a big achievement. We have camp next week then dressage qualifiers after that

Poppet he is just so cute, he is rather cheeky at the moment but is working really hard getting ready for possibly his first elementary test, depending how he is feeling he is more then capable it’s just wether his head is in the game at the time, so watch this space.

Some of my resent work don’t forget to start getting your tack booked in for fixing over the summer while I’m quiet, I get busy pretty quickly.

Just a little remind:
- please make sure your tack is sent cleaned, I can’t work with dirty tack so I have to clean before it is fixed which one means it will take longer to be fixed and 2 means it will cost you more as I will add a cleaning charge.
- please don’t oil or saddle soap your tack before sending it to me as it makes it to slippy to fix so I will either have to re clean it or wait for the leather to completely soak it in which can some times take a while.

I don’t just fix tack I can fix belts, dog collars, leads I also can make alter most leather equipment so please get in touch if I can help I will

A bit of a rubish picture but look at him go đŸ„° we are finally getting there and it’s starting to click. Pen showed us today that he actually has one hell of a jump when he puts his mind to it!! 😃Every day is a learning day horse and rider no mater what level you ride at professionally or just learning. lessons are what keeps things fresh and different instructors see different things don’t ever just stick to one person mix it up get out there you are never to qualified or experienced for lessons and to learn somthing new đŸ„°

So I have been very quiet on here recently because I have been flat out with life, this beautiful big boy arrived for me to have some fun on, I have been working really hard on the flat with poppet and pen got out xc country and we are massively improving on sj skills he will be so awesome when he gets there. Some of you already know some of you don’t I have been training to be a saddle fitter along side my riding and making and mending due to this I will not be taking on anymore work this summer, if your already booked in with me don’t panic I am not going anywhere. Lessons I am still teaching and I am still taking on schooling horses but only one at a time and I am curently fully booked till July if I can help I will try but please be prepared I might not be able to. I hope everyone is enjoying this sunshine and maybe this time next year I will be fitting saddle’s for you rather then riding for you watch this space!!
