Merlin is looking for a part loaner 2/3 days a week
- no under 18’s due to location
- No novices or people getting back in to riding
- Yard duties on your days
- Money contribution

Merlin is a 15.1 Welsh D he can be quirky sometimes, but never dangerous. I do not have an arena so happy hack only when field is dry enough can ride in the field and potentially to do more with the right person!! I am stabled on my own private yard right on a bridle path and have some of the best hacking. Merlin hunts and team chases, so ideally would like someone who is flexible on days and who wants to treat him and love him like there own on there days. But this dose also mean that I let him down over the summer so he would be yours over the summer to enjoy!

August!!!

Poppet has been smiling away in the sun after finally concurring the art of hacking he has been a very good boy managed to contain him self after a very distracting dressage test at west wilts to bring home a 6th 🏅

Pen has been taking it easy practicing his flat work at home, and is really enjoying his jumping and plodding round the country side 🥰

Merlin is back in full swing getting ready for his first run on Sunday I think he is going to be very excited to be back out it’s been a while for us 😬

July!!

July was a busy month the boys went out 3 times competing had to learn 4 different tests in one week we done Okayy on that front, but the boys were a dream as always pulling it out the bag when I needed them to and coming home with ribbons, these boys make me smile everytime I ride them 🥰

Merlin 15.1 Welsh D 13 year old. happy hacker but potentially can do more depending on the person, and how they get on with him. He is not a novice ride as he can be quirky. Merlin is a one in a million horse having done BE, BD, BS, Hunt Scurry, Team Chased to inter, hunted, fun rides. Has turned his hoof to pretty much everything. I have the best hacking around where he is kept on and off road.

Back out competing today for me pen and poppet

Pen was up first in the walk trot and he was amazing so much more relaxed and he went and pulled it out the bag and brought home a 3rd and then went down and had a play with the clear round jumping and jumped a beautiful little clear round for me 🥰

Poppet was a really good boy first we done the walk trot he came 2nd and then the prelim and he only went and won it 🥰 he is again such a cool little horse so much to love but so much to learn

Really really pleased with the boys again today really looking forward to what they have to bring to the table 🥰😁

This week I have this beautiful bunch to keep me busy, while there owners are enjoying the sunshine. We have been taking lots of videos and made sure to update there owners regularly 🥰

Recently I have had a lot of people moaning there horse can’t do this do that do the other. Or someone sed this someone sed that. Just remember every journey has a start middle and end the start feels like forever, the middle doesn’t feel that long and the end comes way to soon! My start with my boy was hard, being told over and over to shoot him, that he would never do any job let alone what I had hoped to do with him, that one day he would kill me!! Well Merlin proved every one of those comments wrong! Our start was hard Merlin use to rear in hand and being riden, launch into traffic if he didn’t want to wait, some times didn’t even want to leave the yard, would spin and bolt home, on the ground he use to lash out with his front legs, bite. He wasn’t easy! But now I have the best horse ever I have achieved more then I ever wished I could!! So I guess what I am trying to say is don’t ever give up and don’t ever be afraid to ask for help! Help doesn’t mean you can’t do it it just means you need a new set of eyes to try find a different way to jump the hurdle infront of you!!

So I had manny with me for schooling for 3 weeks to get him started for his owners, in his time with me we worked a lot on just trying to get him to relax when getting on and when being ridden I received this lovely message from his owners the others day “ Hiya, just thought I’d update you on manny he’s been amazing like a completely different horse had a lovely walk trot and canter round the field today and he didn’t put a foot wrong. Mum had a sit on him also and he was so good!! “ I love hearing how horses are doing after leaving me. Manny is booked back in in a few weeks to help with the next stage. I have been working with a lot of ex-race horses recently not long and my little Welshie will be back in the spot light

I have been keeping these boys under the radar, I have been given the absolute pleasure in retraining these boys they were both very talented boys on the track and now are turning there hoof to a bit of dressage, the boys went to there first competition today, and I couldn’t have asked more from them for there first outing.

Quick grab’em (poppet) the little bay, came 3rd in his first test and 2nd in his second test so much to improve on but a really good start to our journey in the dressage ring 🥰

Pencreek (pen) chestnut, pen is your typical ginger he has some sass about him but he seems to like the out and about life, he was such a good boy today he hasn’t been of the track as long as poppet and pulled it out the bag for me today bringing home 2 6th’s so much to improve on but a really positive start to our eventing journey 🥰

I have been very quiet for a little while on here, because I have been very busy juggling the cutest little man and work.

I had this lovely boy arrive with me last week to be brought back into work he seems to be loving life and fits in lovely with my other 4.

We had a bit of a scare with poor Earnie who now seems to be on the mend 🤞

Merlin and Hero are enjoying there down time in the field.

Homer is loving his little hack out and about bar the big scary leaf that might eat him one day.

I also have some really lovely horses that I have been re schooling who you will see out and about in the near future.

Unfortunately Merlin’s part loaner has decided to give up Merlin so potentially looking for someone who wants to ride and help out with the boys would be to ride Merlin or hero depending on which horse is doing what, in no rush but if anyone knows anyone looking 👀

My diary is filling up fast, especially for holiday cover. New this year I am offering schooling horses from needing experience out hacking alone and in company to schooling in the arena. I have 15 years experience working with horses from 5* horses to backing horses, happy hackers to hunters, re training race horses to quirky tricky horses, riden pre Saint George horses and horses who can only just canter, competed BE novice, BD novice, BS 1.15, team chased to inter, hunt scurries.
