New bridle for poppet 🥰 he is just so handsome and loves the camera 🥰 we went with a shires velociti rapida grackle bridle that we bought at Pinkers Country Store I’m not going to lie I’m a fan of a good old grackle bridle but I did like the way this fitted him, it’s like it was made for him 🥰🥰

Today me and pencreek took a trip to burrows court for the riding clubs dressage qualifiers and he was an extremely good boy seeing as this was the busiest show he had been to since coming out of racing. bringing home an individual 5th and a team 3rd 🥰

Day 1 of the tortworth 4, family holiday means I am in charge of the naughty ponios, every time they go on holiday I lose 1 if not 2 ponies, jumping out, running through fencing. I usually spend more time fixing fencing then riding or mucking out but after there last holiday I went up there and we re-fenced so 🤞 this time they will stay in. So far so good day 1 and they are where they are ment to be. Wahooooo!!!

WHAT A DAY!!!! Definitely ready for my bed, mr Merlin went of to the best new home he is definitely going to be spoilt rotten and be wearing pink and glitter along the way 🙈 schooled one, then rally with pen who was very 🌶️ then took mr Earnie for a spin and he was a dream as always, then rode and bathed mr Merlin, dropped Richard home and to my last job of the day with the naughty 4 at tortworth 😜 then to pick up brat child who was amazing company 🙈 then look at that sun set to drive up the driveway to 🥰🥰

Happy new year!! I have had a very busy January so far plaiting, main and tail pulling, clipping riding, holiday cover. We have definitely jumped into January full of ponies and work. And I am very excited I got back on the two beautiful ex- racers that I am very privileged to ride yesterday after we all had a bit of light work/ down time over Christmas and they felt amazing finally feel like last years hard work is paying off 🥰🥰 I am booking up fast so if you do need me for clipping, tidying, holiday cover, riding please get in touch I am already starting to get booked up through to March/April

A little pencreek glow up from where he started to where he is now bring on 2025

August!!! Poppet has been smiling away in the sun after finally concurring the art of hacking he has been a very good boy managed to contain him self after a very distracting dressage test at west wilts to bring home a 6th 🏅 Pen has been taking it easy practicing his flat work at home, and is really enjoying his jumping and plodding round the country side 🥰 Merlin is back in full swing getting ready for his first run on Sunday I think he is going to be very excited to be back out it’s been a while for us 😬

Recently I have had a lot of people moaning there horse can’t do this do that do the other. Or someone sed this someone sed that. Just remember every journey has a start middle and end the start feels like forever, the middle doesn’t feel that long and the end comes way to soon! My start with my boy was hard, being told over and over to shoot him, that he would never do any job let alone what I had hoped to do with him, that one day he would kill me!! Well Merlin proved every one of those comments wrong! Our start was hard Merlin use to rear in hand and being riden, launch into traffic if he didn’t want to wait, some times didn’t even want to leave the yard, would spin and bolt home, on the ground he use to lash out with his front legs, bite. He wasn’t easy! But now I have the best horse ever I have achieved more then I ever wished I could!! So I guess what I am trying to say is don’t ever give up and don’t ever be afraid to ask for help! Help doesn’t mean you can’t do it it just means you need a new set of eyes to try find a different way to jump the hurdle infront of you!!

So I had manny with me for schooling for 3 weeks to get him started for his owners, in his time with me we worked a lot on just trying to get him to relax when getting on and when being ridden I received this lovely message from his owners the others day “ Hiya, just thought I’d update you on manny he’s been amazing like a completely different horse had a lovely walk trot and canter round the field today and he didn’t put a foot wrong. Mum had a sit on him also and he was so good!! “ I love hearing how horses are doing after leaving me. Manny is booked back in in a few weeks to help with the next stage. I have been working with a lot of ex-race horses recently not long and my little Welshie will be back in the spot light
