A lot of people are wondering why Charlie hasn't found his forever and ever home. Here's why.
He has quite a few issues that still need addressing. He's nervous, doesn't cope with change well at all, scared around new people. He's worried around other dogs and is not comfortable in their presence. He takes 2 steps forward and 1 step back.
He would need to be an ONLY dog. The home should be laid back with not too much coming and going. No children. Preferably retired couple or someone working from home, who would like an office dog. He would need a sympathetic, experienced owner, who has had a Dobie before. You would need to be prepared for possibly some damage to cushions etc.,
He would NOT manage training classes, but should be able to work one to one with a trainer.
A dog walker is not recommended and unless you can commit to the training and walking and stress head moments where he still goes into panic mode, then Charlie is NOT the dog for you.
We need to get this right for Charlie and would rather him stay here until his special person/people come along.
What we don't want is Charlie coming back with return to sender stamped on his backside.
We get one shot at this. That's it.
