Introducing the most beautiful girl inside and out, Rosie, a five year old Cocker Spaniel. Rosie is an ex breeding bitch, who has never lived in a home so will require her new family to be patient and understanding whilst she navigates home life and by assisting her with her toilet training. But she is so eager to learn, and has improved tenfold since arriving. She has been vaccinated, microchipped, flead and wormed.

This girl is a total dreamboat. She has one of those special souls that will undoubtedly imprint on you forever. Considering she has been underexposed to the normalities of life, she has taken absolutely everything in her stride, proving just how honest and beautiful her nature is. She is so affectionate, so loving, so gentle. She can be a little nervous upon first introduction, but it doesn’t take long for her to come out of her shell at all. Once you’ve earned this girls trust, you’ve got a best friend for life. Today she went on her first walk and walked like a dream on the lead - I have no doubt that her recall will be great in time as she establishes a bond with her new owner, she just wants to be with you at all times. She loves tennis balls!

Rosie is great with the other dogs having lived with several in her previous home. Understandably she isn’t overly fond of them imposing on her personal space (do you blame her?!), but she is very comfortable in their company. She could potentially live with a very calm, quiet dog who is happy to respect her boundaries and give her space when needed. She is a very sociable girl. She is fine with being left alone. This girl has so much potential, she just needs a helping hand along the way. She has been amazing with visiting children although I would love for her to have a quieter pace of life now. She would ideally suit an older couple, who are around most of the time, and who are able to devote the time and energy she will require whilst she settles into home life for the first time. Experience with ex breeders would be ideal. Could you provide this girl with the retirement home that she so deserves?

Introducing one of our own beautiful girls here at Garland’s, Belle, a three year old Cocker Spaniel, who is unfortunately looking for her forever family through no fault of her own 🏡. Belle has been walked by us for some time now and is a much loved member of our pack. Her wonderful family did a lovely write up of her that describes her perfectly -

“Belle is very energetic, would benefit from being with someone that loves walking and playing.
Also very sweet and loveable, she’ll let you hold her like a baby for cuddles.
Completely house trained, never had any accidents in the house.
She’s ok to be left for a few hours on her own.
Has a bit of possessiveness with stuff she doesn’t want to give up but that’s mainly a defence thing rather than aggression. This is easily maintained.
Shes been amazing with our small child but she is quite boisterous so maybe better in a home without small children.
Not a fan of cats at all.
Very quiet in the house if she’s left in her own space.
She’s ok with other dogs but does try and be the alpha in a home environment
Great recall. Can be a puller on the lead”

Belle is wonderful in a group setting with other dogs, the more energy the better 😅 She’s a typical busy spaniel, with a tennis ball being her best friend. She LOVES adventuring. The type of home that Belle requires is an active one, with no resident dogs/cats or children and preferably with someone who has resource guarding experience. This girl is a dream, and is loved dearly by us all. She is going to provide one lucky family with TONS of fun! She is so affectionate, a total sweetheart.

Introducing the gorgeous Teddy, a four year old neutered Cocker Spaniel x King Charles Spaniel, who was very much loved in his previous family home, but is now looking for his forever family due to no fault of his own 🏡 He has been vaccinated, microchipped, flead and wormed.

This boy is absolutely wonderful. He is any families dream. He has not got a bad bone in his body. A true definition of a man’s best friend - this boy is very needy, understandably so considering the upheaval he has faced. He is a total sweetheart but typical of the breed, he can be quite bouncy. He is heaps of fun, but equally so affectionate. He has shown lots of promise being off lead on our walks - he has recalled every time to be put straight back on the lead. He walks well on a lead.

Teddy adores other dogs, he’s on the quieter side and does not have an overbearing personality whatsoever. I personally think he would be best suited to a home with a female dog of a similar temperament or as an only dog with plenty of physical/mental stimulation. He is used to being left alone. He is still so young and quite literally has the world at his feet, he just needs a helping hand along the way. He has lived with children in his previous home and is said to have been amazing with them.

These boys are as gorgeous on the inside, as they are on outside. If I could describe them in a few words, it would most definitely be extremely affectionate, attentive and sensitive little souls. For anyone seeking an active, loyal companion, these are your boys ♥️ They LOVE human company. Their attitudes to life are infectious, they are quite simply joyous to be around. They are the most loving, beautifully natured souls who will make the perfect asset to any family. They are slowly but surely coming out of their shells and will naturally take time to adjust to a new home setting without one another. They will require patient, understanding owners.

They have been sociable with the other dogs here. However I believe they would be best suited to either a home with a resident female or as an only dog (no resident males). They haven’t had many positive interactions with dogs in general, as they aren’t the biggest fans of each other 😅 They are now thriving individually. They are used to being left alone. They can be pullers on the lead, but are still young and more than willing to learn. They walk well on halti’s. Their recall is great and they absolutely love adventuring off lead. These boy’s have so much potential, and in the right environment they will flourish. Please bear in mind that they are busy, and active, so will require a home that is able to meet their physical needs.

There isn’t too much of a difference personality wise between them. They are both sweethearts. Ted is definitely more confident and outgoing. Simba is definitely more sensitive and clingy. But are equally as loving.

Introducing any Beagle lovers dream, the gorgeous Emo. Emo is a one year old entire male, who was very much loved in his previous family home, but is now looking for his forever family due to no fault of his own 🏡 He has been vaccinated, microchipped, flead and wormed.

This boy is absolutely wonderful. He is incredibly intelligent, very switched on and eager to learn. A true definition of a man’s best friend. If you love Beagles, then he’s your boy. He is well mannered and isn’t your typical vocal Beagle either - his previous Mam has mentioned that he never barks. He is heaps of fun, but equally so affectionate. Considering Beagles are renowned for having selective hearing, he has shown lots of promise being off lead at our secure field - he has recalled every time to be put straight back on the lead. Initially he can be strong on the lead, but he does settle nicely.

Emo adores other dogs, and his play style is very OTT, so I personally think he would be best suited to a home with a female dog of a similar temperament or as an only dog with plenty of physical/mental stimulation. He is used to being left alone. He is still so young and quite literally has the world at his feet, he just needs a helping hand along the way. He has lived with children in his previous home and is said to have been amazing with them. He’s the sweetest boy ever.

They have been amazing with the other dogs here, and are very sociable. However I believe they would be best suited to either a home with a resident female or as an only dog (no resident males). Saturday’s rescue run ♥️ I promise it’s worth the wait to watch the happiest puppies EVER at the end. Our newest rescues are absolutely joyous and I can’t wait to properly introduce them to you all. Introducing Trevor & Clyde, two six month old Collie x Pug puppies, and Teddy, a nine month old Sh*tzu x French Bulldog puppy who will all be looking for their forever homes soon 🏡 Oh and not forgetting my beautiful Lola who I am finding very difficult to part with, she has totally captured my heart and made herself at home here, I keep telling myself I don’t need another dog but I love her so much 🥹

Back with another edition of ‘Rescue Day Out!’ A video of two halves (yes we’ve had a very busy, adventurous weekend) 😅 -

• 6 mile adventure with Suki at the Four Waterfalls trail in Brecon. Meanwhile my Mam borrowed Bailey for an 8.5 mile hike in Ponsticill 🌊
• 5 mile adventure with both Suki & Bailey at Dare Valley Country Park, which initially didn’t quite go to plan (two VERY excitable puppies) in a VERY busy environment, but after some minor teething issues, they both absolutely smashed it and I couldn’t have been prouder of them 🍃

Break from kennel life ✅
Plenty of stimulus and ‘real world’ experiences ✅
Getting these wonderful dogs noticed ✅
Having lots of fun in the process ✅

Introducing the absolutely gorgeous Bailey, an eight month old Hungarian Vizsla who is looking for his forever family 🏡 This lovely lad is as gorgeous on the inside, as he is on the outside. If I could describe him in one word, it would most definitely be FUN (with a whole load of chaos thrown in there)! For anyone seeking an active, loyal companion, Bailey is your boy ♥️ Bailey ideally needs a home with breed experience, Vizsla’s aren’t for the faint hearted and will require plenty of physical/mental stimulation so please consider this. He’s a big, loveable puppy who doesn’t understand his own size and strength, he will benefit hugely from being taught manners/boundaries, especially around food.

He has been flead, wormed, microchipped and is fully vaccinated. He honestly has the most beautiful, loving nature. He was clearly very well loved in his previous home, and it shows. He LOVES human company. His attitude to life is infectious, he is quite simply joyous to be around. A total sweetheart. He adores other dogs having lived with an entire male in his previous home. He is used to being left for prolonged periods, but wasn’t coping very well with this - as we know Vizsla’s are Velcro dogs. He is 101% house trained. He can be a bit of a puller on a lead but this has improved vastly. His recall is great and he absolutely loves adventuring off lead with his best pals. He is into everything and is going to provide one lucky family with endless amounts of fun. He has been amazing with everyone we’ve met, including children. Proving just how beautifully natured he truly is. He has lived with young children in his previous home and adored them, but given how bouncy and boisterous he is, I personally think he’d be suited to confident older children only. This boy has so much potential, and in the right environment he will flourish.

*LONG TERM FOSTER PLACEMENT NEEDED 🙏🏻*

This is Taz. Taz devastatingly lost the centre of his world, his Dad, just before Christmas and is now unfortunately looking for a retirement home at the grand old age of 12 😪 His story has broken my heart - how confused and heartbroken he must be, having been cruelly stripped of everything he’s ever known. His Dad was his best friend and I’ve been told they did absolutely everything together. He is the sweetest little soul, who couldn’t hurt a fly. He’s very comfortable around the other dogs here, and is said to love children. Taz has lost most of his hair and is completely bald under his onesie, so I worry sick about him in this weather. He so deserves to be cwtched up on a sofa, in the warm, being shown nothing but love and affection. Taz would be leaving on a long term foster placement, no fee will apply and full support will be given by our rescue. Please, let’s utilise the power of Facebook and find our gorgeous boy a forever home to live out his days. Can you help heal his broken heart?

As we say goodbye to 2024, I just wanted to show you all the remainder of our successful adoptions here at Garland’s 🥰 These include Percy, Pinky, Perry, Milly, Ace, Mayo, Frank, Groot, Rocket, Bonnie, Mitsy, Arlo & Maple. That’s another 13 little lives changed forever, and that’s all down to their wonderul new families for opening their hearts and homes to a rescue dog. Receiving these updates make my entire life. That’s true purpose right there - there honestly is no better feeling in the entire world ♥️

Introducing the absolutely gorgeous Reggie, a one year old Cockapoo male who is looking for his forever family 🏡 This lovely lad is as gorgeous on the inside, as he is on the outside. If I could describe him in one word, it would most definitely be FUN (with a little bit of chaos thrown in there)! For anyone seeking an active, loyal companion, Reggie is your boy ♥️ He is your typical energetic Cockapoo and will require plenty of physical/mental stimulation so please consider this.

He has been flead, wormed, microchipped and is fully vaccinated. He honestly has the most beautiful, loving nature. He was clearly very well loved in his previous home, and it shows. He LOVES human company. His attitude to life is infectious, he is quite simply joyous to be around. A total sweetheart. When Reggie came into our care several weeks ago, it was very clear to me that in order for him to obtain the best possible chance of being rehomed with another dog (which he will benefit massively from), he needed to be neutered as he was very sexually frustrated and hyperactive. Fast forward a few weeks, he is now fully healed and a different dog. Still a perfect lunatic, but without the ‘frustration’. He’s been so patient whilst he’s undergone his healing period here, and is now more than ready to move onto his next adventure.

He is very comfortable in the company of other dogs, even with our young puppies. He is a very sociable boy and would play all day given the chance. He would definitely benefit from living with another dog as he wasn’t coping very well with being left alone in his previous home. He gains so much confidence from the others. He is 101% housetrained (he hasn’t had a single accident since arriving) and is an obedient boy. He is also crate trained. He is used to being left alone for periods of time but just wasn’t coping very well with this on his own. Reggie would prefer a quieter home setting with minimal visitors as he used to get quite overwhelmed, I do however feel that this will naturally improve now that he’s subsequently calmed down. He can be a bit of a puller on a lead but this has improved vastly. His recall is great and he absolutely loves adventuring off lead with his best pals. He is into everything and is going to provide one lucky family with endless amounts of fun. He has been amazing with everyone we’ve met, including children. Proving just how beautifully natured he truly is.

LET’S FIND SUKI A FOREVER HOME IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS 🤞🏼🎄 No puppy deserves to spend the festive period in kennels. She is impossible to get photos of, these are the best of a bad bunch 😅

Everyone meet the beautiful Suki, an approximately six/seven month old Crossbreed (maybe a Jack Russell x Staffy) who is looking for her forever family through no fault of her own 🏡 This special little soul has faced enough upheaval in her short life, and so thoroughly deserves a family to give her the understanding, patience and love that she’s been denied of.

She has been flead, wormed and microchipped. She honestly has the most beautiful, loving nature. Suki is VERY busy and active (your typical terrier), and loves nothing more than adventuring off leash with her best pals. Her recall is great and she walks well on a lead. Suki is SO affectionate and doesn’t quite understand boundaries at the moment, she can be quite overbearing but this always comes from a good place. She will benefit massively from learning and understanding boundaries and manners. But she is still a baby, and is so eager to learn. This has improved tenfold since she arrived here.

She is a very sociable girl. She honestly adores other dogs and is very playful, but can be overbearing in her play-style with smaller dogs, she just hasn’t much socialisation/redirection. She may need assistance with his toilet training. She has been amazing with everyone we’ve met, including children. Proving just how beautifully natured she truly is. She’s confident in new situations. Suki will benefit from training sessions and lots of physical/mental stimulation.

Ace is VERY busy and active (your typical crazy spaniel), and loves nothing more than adventuring off leash with his best pals. His recall is fantastic and he walks well on a lead. Ace is SO affectionate, and is the true definition of a man’s best friend.

He is a very sociable boy. He honestly adores other dogs and is more submissive than overbearing. He is a sensitive soul - a total sweetheart. He may need assistance with his toilet training. Reminiscing on the most special summer to date, with some pretty special little souls - Beau & Buddy ♥️ Many happy tears have been shed watching this back, knowing how difficult a period of my life this was, and knowing just how much these wonderful dogs helped me through by ensuring I was never short of love or comfort and by always putting the biggest smile on my face. Creating a loving, safe and most importantly fun environment for all of the rescues in our care will always be my utmost priority. Saturday’s busy rescue run 😅 We welcomed four new faces who I cannot wait to introduce to you all (very soon I promise). Not only have they had the upheaval to contend with, but bonfire night too! Yet their resilience and ability to adapt to new situations continues to astound me, what wonderful dogs they are ♥️ Just a quick, brief introduction - * Groot & Rocket, bonded Minature Dachshund males, aged one and two * Bonnie, a one year old Beagle x Harrier female * Mitsy (was Tipsy), a three year old Bichon x Sh*tzu female All of which have lived with children and other dogs. Yes, this is the reality of rescue - it’s bloody hard (I cry at least once a day 😂) Last week was an emotional one to say the least. Slinky’s adoption hit me harder than most, with so much pressure amounting on myself to get it absolutely right for her to minimise any further upheaval in her short life. They say to always trust your gut instinct, of that I did, and I am delighted to announce that she has now been adopted and has since settled wonderfully in her forever home. Being their voice is life’s greatest privilege, and something I will never take for granted having longed for the opportunity since I was a little girl. URGENT PLEA 🚨 Yesterday we had our biggest intake of dogs yet here at Garland’s (six in total). All of which are in poor condition and in desperate need of some TLC. They are severely matted and covered in pee stains. All six are feeling much better already after a pamper day today, and are now bathed, flead and wormed. However I am DESPERATE to find a groomer/s who would be able to dedicate their time to give these precious souls the fresh start they deserve by making them feel much more comfortable. They’ve never been groomed before so would require someone who is patient and understanding. If you are a groomer and are able to make a difference to even one of these poor babies, please reach out. I would appreciate it more than you’d ever know. I will keep you all updated on their journey here with us, their new lives begin now 🥰 On that note, we are running low on dry adult food, and with nine dogs currently in our care, our supply is dwindling. Please if anyone would be kind enough to donate food to the dogs in our care, it would be massively appreciated. Please support us so that we can continue to help those who need us most. Feels SO good to be back! We’ve had a very busy weekend welcoming three new faces, all of which will be introduced properly within the next few days. Roxy is an eight year old Patterdale. Jessie is a one year old Springer Spaniel x Jack Russel. Kali is a three year old King Charles Spaniel x Border Collie. I think the video speaks for itself - they are truly amazing 🫶🏼 All will be available for adoption soon!
