Masha’s Dog Cookies

Masha’s Dog Cookies Dog cookies for the fussiest of dogs and for dogs with stomach, liver and pancreas issues. One day we might be able to. Everything is made on order.

Masha's Dog Cookies was inspired by ... Masha - a gorgeous KC registered German Shepherd girl, and by our desire to provide her with the best and the most nutritious treats (soon we hope to be able to expand our range and make very special kibble, too). Every single cookie mixture is researched, as in we only use ingredients that have been scientifically proven to be healthy and beneficial for dog

s of all sizes and breeds. Every type of cookie we make is analysed by an independent UKAS-accredited laboratory and you will be amazed how nutritious a simple, clean, fully vegan and completely natural treat can be. What makes what we do even more special is that ALL our cookies are suitable for dogs with a variety of allergies, intolerances and sensitivities, simply because we add no nasties to our cookies (our website www.organicdogcookies.co.uk has all the details). We cannot, by law, brand our cookies as "organic" because we cannot afford - for the moment - the thousands of pounds that would be required for their organic certification. Every single cookie is cut by hand, checked for imperfections (Masha takes great pleasure in dealing with those cookies which "fail" the inspection), baked in the oven and then dehydrated. We vacuum-seal all the cookies we sell to ensure they reach your dog in perfect condition. As you may imagine, although we make cookies for dogs, they are human-grade: if you fancy a taste of one, rest assured it is very edible! We are not a corporation, we do not have a production line nor mechanised processes. We made it a point not to "store", "freeze" or "make more". This why we are an artisan and waste-free pet food manufacturer. And one more thing: the reason we decided to feed Masha only with these cookies is because, when she was a puppy, we started reading the small print of the ingredients on mainstream dog treats ... and rawhide is bad for dogs. And "fishmeal", "chicken meal", "turkey meal" and "chicken juice" are not in our vocabulary. Every 100g of cookies represent, approximately, 13-16 cookies perfectly sized for both large (Masha weighs 70+ pounds, i.e. 33kg) dogs as well as for the smallest ones (the cookies can be broken into much smaller pieces if you need to). So far, we haven't received any complaint from any dog who ate our cookies.

“Today is my birthday - I am 2 years old, very spoiled and adored by both my human mum and dad.

I got this giant rabbit from the very nice lady who makes parrot hoodies ( ) and I’m not quite sure what to do with it … but I’ll figure it out!

Also, my mum bought me (though she hasn’t given it to me yet 😓) a bag of super fine organic carrots, jumbo size!

Oh, and before I go for a little lie down, mum said that if you buy any bag of my dog cookies this January, I’m allowed to give you one for free!!!”

I've been very quiet in December - my apologies to you all for this.

As a "one woman" operation, I had to choose between fulfilling orders and posting on social media; I chose the former 😊.

From Masha and myself, we are enormously grateful to all of you for all your orders - my cookies are the proof that although we, humans, buy with our eyes, dogs don't do that: they know what is healthy, safe and tasty for them!

I may not be able to invest in any fancy and eye-catching packaging any time soon, but you can ALWAYS rest assured that what goes in my dog cookies are the best, safest and finest ingredients out there.

THANK YOU 🙏🙏🙏, HAPPY CHRISTMAS, and may 2024 be your BEST YEAR YET!

Many dog lovers believe that "anything goes" when it comes to dog nutrition; as long as they like it, it should be safe, shouldn't it?
Nothing further from the truth! With the Christmas holidays fast approaching, and with many "gorgeously looking" dog treats out there, please READ THE LABEL.
And DO NOT feed your dog ANY CINNAMON at all!!!

21/11/2023

There is a lady I met in the carpark of Glenythan Vets in Ellon. I failed to ask her name, but I know she follows this page. If that is you, please let me know if your dog had the surgery and how she is feeling, and whether the diet I had suggested helped... ☺

As we remember the humans, we should also remember the dogs ... their self-sacrifice was not for queen or country, but for the "hooman" they adored more than anything or anyone.

We will remember them. 🙏

The impressive use of Military Working Dogs throughout generations.

In case you need a smile today🤣🤣🤣:

Fergus concluded that Masha’s mango dog cookies are so special that, before you eat them, you roll on them 😂😂😂

As promised, dear ladies and gents - of the human kind and pawsome kind 🥰🥰 - I’m pleased to introduce to you the Christmas dog cookies shapes!!

They are small, cute, cuddly and, as Masha herself has guaranteed, suitable for every doggie, big or small!

I shall be slowly introducing them in all the orders in the run up to Christmas (it takes a ridiculous amount of time to cut them into shapes but it’s worth it if they make you smile 😊)!

They are ideal as a budget-Christmas present for dog lovers and, as many of you know by now, they are:

- only made to order (as in fresh),
- made with the finest ingredients that are SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to be both safe and good for dogs (if they don’t bring any health benefits to your dog, what would be the point???)
- registered with Food Standards Scotland and Aberdeenshire Trading Standards, as well as with the UK’s Food Standards Agency
- independently tested by a UKAS certified laboratory
- largely made with 100% organic ingredients

And, please, do remember that now we have a brand new website: www.mashasdogcookies.co.uk (we shut down www.organicdogcookies.co.uk).

Last but not least, from Masha and I, please stay safe out there today, and do not let your doggie wander off in this weather: there will be a lot of flying objects (particularly dry twigs) that may really harm them!

NEWS ALERT!!!!

Dear customers and friends of Masha's Dog Cookies, we have a NEW and much MORE improved website:

1. After changing website hosting providers, we finally have a "branded" website: www.mashasdogcookies.co.uk! We couldn't get that with the previous website provider, not unless we won the lottery ☺️

2. We have also changed the payment provider to Square - they are fantastic! 🙏 - and now you have a multitude of payment options available!

3. In addition, the new website allowed us to create a multitude of delivery options, as in offering you delivery choices: Royal Mail or Evri, tracked or not!

4. And last but not least, especially with the Christmas coming up, the new website allows us to deliver the cookies to a different address should you wish me to, not just the "billing address"!

5. Oh, and I also created a new page called "Dog News"; there is not much news in it other than two little articles but, as we "do" more, we'll hopefully have more.

Soon, I'm hoping by the end of the week, I'll share with you all the new Christmas cookies shapes - hopefully you'll like them. And a new cookie is on its way, too 😊!

As ever, Masha and I think that ALL OF YOU are truly PAWSOME and we can't thank you enough!

I’ve just had lunch at a great cafe on the road from Longside to Peterhead, called Cafe Nineteen!

Plenty of car parking spaces and, the most important thing, they let you bring your DOG in, too!

The food is truly yummy (you should see their soup and sandwich combo🤗), and they even have “dog sausage” for your dog!

So Zoomies Aberdeen has become the focal point of dog birthdays and personal delivery of dog cookies 😄😄

A new customer asked me to make £20 worth of cookies for this gorgeous boy, as a birthday present for him (he’s celebrating it as I’m writing this post, at Zoomies!).

So, when it comes to customer service - especially their birthdays 🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😘😘😘 - how can I say no?.

So, a bag of Masha’s Dog Cookies was delivered (ribbons and stickers and birthday card too!!) including a Banana cookie bag with the new Christmas shapes!

I wished the birthday boy “Happy Birthday”. and he allowed me to take a picture of his pawsomeness!!! 🎂🎂🎂🎉🎉🎉

Masha’s soup recipe:

This is for a 14 litres pot - you can portion the soup and freeze it. Masha gets 500g of it every other day.

- 500 g of any meat you can afford (you can use bones but remove them once the soup is ready)
- 1 pack of carrots (organic, if you can)
- 1 pack of celery (organic, if you can)
- 1 large turnip
- 2 big sweet potatoes
- 2 bags of sugar snaps
- 4 red bell peppers (organic, if you can)
- 2 bags of Brussels sprouts (she was attacked by one earlier 😂)
- 1 bag of parsnips (organic. If you can)
- 3 courgettes (organic, if you can)
- 1 cucumber (organic, if you can)
- 1 tsp of ginkgo biloba powder
- 2 tsp of turmeric powder

Your dog will thank you for it!

We will be offsite on the Sunday completely but the others days we may be popping in and out to check everything’s ok but can’t guarantee someone will be here all day.

Park checks will be done at night but it’s really important that everyone is kind, courteous and respectful for their appointments on these days (as most are)

I will make sure the ‘rules’ are posted next week- the same ones on your disclaimer you can access when you book (the main ones being close the gate on the car park BEFORE getting dogs out the car on leads, and returning them to their car on their lead in case someone has opened the car park gate, picking up poo and returning toys to boxes etc -they are all fairly obvious)

No new customers because there won’t be anyone to show you the setup - so get a visit in before then if you desperately need that weekend!

If you need a specific hour but don’t see it listed message me as I will jiggle. I’ve given a cushion of time so no chance of crossovers but you will need to stick to your booked times for it to work!

I am delighted to let you know that Masha’s Dog Cookies will be there with a freshly made batch of cookies, and that 20% of ALL sales that day will be donated to World Horse Welfare!

So, please, make sure that you bring your family on September 24th and have fun! It is for a great cause!

Time to make some fine soup for Masha … you can try it, too! Just boil some meat (beef, chicken, lamb) or make a stock from bones and remove them after.

12/09/2023

I fully agree with Scottish SPCA - NO DOG is ever born bad; no dog is born aggressive or "wanting" to harm any human. It is us, the humans, who do these to dogs and it is also us, the humans who should bear the full extent and force of the law if the dogs in our care injure anyone. Why would anyone punish the one we taught to misbehave or be aggressive? Why?

I've met a Staffie on the tube in London several years ago. She was as placid and cuddly as any poodle. SPCA has a Staffie to rehome at their centre in Drumoak; his name is Bo, and the poor thing is also deaf. I had my picture taken with him and he couldn't care less about me, the staff or anyone else: he just wanted to be petted and cuddled! I have a German Shephard, Masha. She is exceptionally strong for a female GS but she never bit anyone (she doesn't know how), she's never been aggressive towards any human or dog or any other pet. She is "in love" with a little poodle next door and she howls every time she hears him. She is just a big lump! But, if I hadn't trained properly, or if I had allowed her to misbehave, she may have been different. In that case, who would have been to blame? Masha or I?

We need to STOP chastising dogs or dog breeds, and start really punishing their owners.

We believe that injuries and deaths by dogs are fully preventable with responsible ownership. Action needs to be taken to better safeguard people from dangerous dogs, but banning a breed is not the solution.

Masha’s first time off the lead!

Loving every moment of her big adventure at Zoomies Aberdeen!
And her recall was superb! 🙏🙏🙏

And a fresh batch of Masha’s cookies has been left with Audrey, so please buy a bag of organic and “clean cookies” next time you’re there!

Thank you 💐

DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG CHARCOAL, OR ANY CHARCOAL COOKIES/TREATS.

There are some wholly irresponsible dog treats/cookies makers, let alone stockists, who would make you think they are - they are far from being ok for your dog!!!

I can’t believe half of the rubbish I’m reading from pet shops on Facebook … honestly, I’m speechless! Ladies and gents, do your own research FROM SCIENTIFIC SOURCES, please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Activated charcoal for dogs and cats is used to absorb ingested toxins. But activated charcoal can be life-threatening if used incorrectly. Learn more about this poison treatment here.
