Cara was helping Daddy, Grandad and Auntie Kirsteen vaccinate the ewes today. Heptavac is like gold dust and we’re going to have to get more for the lambs once they are born 🙈💉 however… it’s scanning day tomorrow!! How many lambs do you think we will be expecting??? 🎁 Those with the correct answer will be put into a prize draw 🎁

We’ve just picked up three new Shetland ewes. The original Shetlands across the road reacted like this! Do you think they know they are also Shetland’s??? They didn’t react at all when they blue texels were opposite them 😂 our new girls will spend a wee while quarantining and settling in before joining the others. I’ll be sure to film the introduction 😁 we are hoping they are also pregnant and will lamb at about the same time as the others 🤞 (one of those ewes also used to belong to my friend Sophie so we will need to invite her round to see her 💓)

It’s good to know feeding cold is just as effective 😊
Due to our small numbers we have always fed warm bottles though, and as I’m a mummy and bottle fed my two own babies it kinda just makes me happy to give them a cosie drink and a cuddle 🙈😂

💘💘 Ted is looking for a girlfriend for Valentine’ day - no long term commitment just a date to hopefully make some beautiful puppies 💘💘

Ted is our working farm dog but also family pet. He also helps at our sheepdog training sessions to allow young or inexperienced dogs to develop their skills as a sheepdog.

After looking at feedback from a previous poll we have decided to hold our next sheepdog training day in APRIL. Dates to follow 😀🐾 We can’t wait to see some of you there.

Our keyrings are now also for sale at Spot the dog groomers (Sophie Dawson). Ted loves a pamper and clean up from Sophie and always comes back looking and smelling amazing! 🐶

Attended a sheep nutrition workshop run by FAS today. Thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so much about how best to feed our ewes especially during their pregnancy. Thank you to Kirsten and Lorna for a great day. Looking forward to putting all the knowledge learnt into practise. 🐑🐑🐑

The girls love new lick day 😋
We have been using these licks every winter for all our sheep. They are full of all the vitamins and minerals they need especially at this time of year or when heavily pregnant like these girls. The sheep are very good at self regulating and just help themselves as they please.
