Sheepdog training
Sophie Gray and Callie have been working hard getting that lie down. Sheepdog training dates will be released later TODAY ๐๐๐พ
Providing hay in the lambing shed is just as important for the lambs as it is the ewes. In order for lambs to develop into strong and healthy sheep they first need to develop their rumen. Hay and even straw provides a good โscratchโ on the surface of the rumen (part of the sheepโs digestive system) which helps prevent it from accumulating too much keratin (a waxy layer). This scratchy forage in turn allows more absorption through the rumen throughout the sheepโs life. Plus they seem to love it ๐ these lambs are about two weeks old and were seen having their first nibbles of hay at only a few days old. #lambsofinstagram #youarewhatyoueat #healthystarts
