We have beautiful Billy , the Maine C**n, come regularly to climb the trees and to lay regally on the table.
There is shade even on the warmest days in Etching Woof/ Miaow.

We had a very handsome fellow come to visit yesterday. Loki’s mum rang and discussed the extra terms and conditions for xl bully dogs. People who read the terms and conditions make our heart sing at Etching Woof! So glad you found us, and hope to see you soon.

One of our walkers today heard a swarm of bees up in the trees. Luckily she thought to let me know, I decided to cancel the rest of the days walkers just in case…. The bee botherers came to the rescue, but by the time they got to Etching Woof the swarm was on the ground.

Just a little word about the bivouac in the woods, it needs to be left at the angle you can see in the picture. The rain needs to be able to drain off , not sit in it, as this would break it. Thank you.

Dottie, Poppy and Summer came to Etching Woof for the first time yesterday. Booked a lovely July morning, but it felt like October. But as you can see the dogs thorough enjoyed their hour of fun! Hope to see you all again soon ###

A beautiful start to the day. Breezy, but we were out of the wind in amongst the trees and the sun was glorious. A few spaces left today.

We have been doing some clearing in the woods. So please be aware of stumps, they are off the path. Looking a bit brighter at the far end. Just taking out the Sycamore, which are self planted, and block out the light for other plants and seedlings to grow .

Have you seen any cinnabar moths whilst you have been walking in the secure area? We have seen quite a few already this year. Love to hear or see your pics if you see any butterflies, or insects. We do not use any pesticides on the smallholding.

Want to say a huge thank you to all of you who recommend us, review us, share our posts and visit us. Etching Woof was made for dogs, dogs who just don’t get recall, elderly dogs who don’t want to rush, dogs who do want to rush and can’t wait for humans to catch up. It is a space to do basic training, or to enjoy your dog being off lead. It was made for all dogs! Without your support we wouldn’t be here. Thank you.

Please could you check your dates and times in your confirmation email. And don’t forget to wait until it is your slot /time before walking down to the secure area. Not everyone drives and so they may not be a car in the parking area, and sometimes I might be in there with my dogs.

We have opened up the 6pm slot every evening apart from Sundays . Sissy and her friend Barney with the only stick in Etching Woof!

A few spaces left for tomorrow afternoon, Sunday 14th. Come for a run around! ( I know this isn’t the secure area, but they do have a lot of fun running around).

Runaround

One of the best things about walking in Etching Woof is that the old boys can saunter along at their pace whilst the younger two can bomb around. Lots of spaces and no rain forecast this week….

And boom we have to attach flashy lights to our dogs. It was only 5pm.

Just nipped in to Etching Woof for a poo check, please keep an eye on your dogs if they race off once you are through the gate. I found poo in one of the usual spots today, just as the track splits off to go into the woods. Please check there on your way out for one you may have missed. Thank you muchly.
