A “before and after” of possibly the most challenging care of a cria we have ever provided. This is the story of our beautiful dysmature Wizard cria named after a drug lord- because of the drugs ( medication) it took him to get on a path to health. From pneumonia, a plasma transfusion, gyrating blood sugar possibly due to the goats milk we were feeding him for about two weeks…..to today. Weaned, healthy, a beautiful character. And although we don’t have favourites….no really, -nevertheless with a special place in our hearts! This is ESCOBAR!

After last Sunday’s walk, our guests were invited by Bon Bon to give her a stroke, and as soon as often happens she sat down because she isn’t pregnant…….and there are men around!! Cheeky girl! Too many crias with ideas above their station this year so Ezra treated our guests to more than they bargained for.

Delighted with our Heart of England show results- always part of our show calender. D’Angelo achieved reserve supreme champion Suri fleece. Digby’s Diamond, champion light fawn Suri, best prepared Suri fleece as well as Judges choice Suri fleece. Prince Caspian’s was fawn Suri champion fleece. That makes judges choice Suri fleece and reserve supreme Suri fleece two years in a row. Well done boys.

What an evening…halter training, followed by sitting in the mum’s and babes field with our holiday let guests and besties, Maz and Karen. This was followed by by counting bats coming out of their maternity roost…153 of them- Soprano pipistrelles.
