Happy National Love Your Pet Day 💙

This is Badger, our lovely little rescue dog from
Romania 🇷🇴 He’s a Kokoni, about 4 years old, definitely John’s dog (I am the spare human), and he loves his cats and grandchildren!

He’s my office companion, chief taster of treats and protector of his pack from his lookout on the back of the office sofa, where he protects us from the postman and the Amazon delivery driver who are obviously very dodgy characters 🤣🤣

His favourite things are cuddles on the sofa, sausages and a trot around the churchyard!

He may be a rescue dog, but he rescued us too after we lost Marley. 💙

I’d love to see your pets too. ❤️

National Stress Awareness Day

Wednesday 6th November marks National Stress Awareness Day, which seeks to raise awareness of the negative effects that stress can have on our health. While stress can sometimes serve as a helpful motivator, too much of it can negatively impact our mood, body, and mind.

Did you know, our pets play an important role in stress reduction? Interacting with pets has a soothing effect on the body, helping to lower blood pressure, ease anxiety, and increase feelings of social support. Petting or cuddling animals can release oxytocin, a hormone that promotes relaxation and bonding, while also lowering cortisol levels, which are linked to
stress.
What are your and your pets favourite way to de-stress?
