With the weather having finally shifted a little towards the warmer weather, I thought it time to show you all this......
This is the tool we use at We Love Pets to guide us and our staff to keep your dogs safe during the hotter weather.
On the hotter days, we carry water and offer your dogs water en route.
We monitor each dog's tolerance to that day's heat and if there's any sign of intolerance to the heat, we take them home.
On the hot days we visit them and interact in the garden and ensure shade and water is easily available. We often bring their friends, so socialisation and play continues.
We also offer earlier walks on the hot days.
Puppies, brachycephalic, super-hairy and older dogs are especially watched closely.
I hope that reassures you that we have your dogs' care in the heat covered!
Remember, even on a cloudy day, please don't leave a dog in a car as, even when it's not that warm to you outside of the car, inside, to your dog, that heat and lack of oxygen can be a killer.
Ok, let's enjoy that sunshine! Woohoo! 😎🐾 🌞

I am pleased as punch to tell you that we learnt today that, due to the diligence at branch level, together with all our sister branches, plus from our national Head Office, We Love Pets has been awarded the Good Shopping Guide ethical tick for our welfare standards! We're the only ones in our industry to be awarded this status and that sure does make me super proud! 🥳👏🏼💖🌟🐾😊

Hello, we’re Tasha & Andy from We Love Pets Bury St Edmunds.

We are a local professional team of pet care providers, with decades of experience and expertise in many areas. We are trained, qualified, insured, DBS checked and West Suffolk Council licensed (boarding).

We have a wide range of pet related services and cover a large area of West Suffolk: approx. 10 miles either side of Bury St Edmunds and then the villages + Sudbury, south to, and over, the North Essex border.

We Love Pets Bury St Edmunds – services:

- Dog walking: - For our adult dog walks, we offer non-pack walks of a maximum of 3-4 dogs or solo walks for dogs that need to be walked alone. We match the dogs for temperament and energy so that they love going out with their friends;

- Dog boarding: We offer a service where your dog is one of only two dogs maximum or even the sole dog & animal of the house. All clients meet their boarder beforehand and have a trial night, as per Defra Higher standard guidance, to ensure you know, and we know, that your dog will be happy at their boarder home;

- Puppy pop-in and socialisation visits: We offer you puppy visits so that your puppy has the chance for a toilet break, a play, some lunch & to start learning some simple command work. When your puppy has had its vaccinations and is ready to mingle, we introduce it to other puppies and dogs that we match for energy and temperament so that socialisation can happen early but in a controlled environment where it isn’t overstimulated by being with too many other dogs. We also start to lead walk as soon as is appropriate and work using the RCVS guidelines regarding how long that walk is: based on age and breed;

People you get to know and who you trust implicitly with your home and animals. People that you develop a professional but warm relationship with. We have a small but dedicated and experienced team who are exactly those people. We offer provision for overnight house sits from one night to several weeks. We Love Pets Bury St Edmunds is hiring!

We have several part-time posts available:

Dog walkers/pet visitors:

- Do you live in the Bury St Edmunds to Sudbury area?

- Do you have a driving license and access to a reliable car (for transporting dogs)?

- Can you offer Monday-Friday 11-14.00 availability for walks?


Dog boarder (in your home):

- Do you live in the West Suffolk Council area?

- Do you have a driving license and access to a reliable car (for transporting dogs)?

- Do you have a house and securely fenced garden where you would be able to look after one or two, well behaved, boarding dogs?


House/pet sitter (in the client’s home):

Do you live in the Bury St Edmunds to Sudbury area?

Do you have a driving license and access to a reliable car (& be willing to transport dogs and other animals in that car, if necessary)?

Are you able to give chunks of time for overnight house sits (this can be 1 night or 1-2 weeks)?
