Thank you for the lovely festive gifts and cards we’ve received, it’s been a pleasure looking after your furry family members for another year ❤️🐕🐕 I dropped off the last of this years donations for Hope Rescue yesterday and look at what the wonderful Hope volunteer Cath Walker gave me, cue more tears 😭 hope you all have the sort of Christmas that suits you xx

Seasons greetings to my lovely clients🎄 thank you for your custom, understanding and good wishes for this sad year we have had, losing both Amber, then my lovely Dad last month. A post of thanks 🙏 - Thank you for the cards & flowers we have received after we lost Amber at the beginning of November, Cleo was an only dog for 3 weeks, completely out of sorts and off her food, Dougal & Maddie are both in for a stay so I’m hoping the canine company will give her the boost she needs. I also wish to thank you for the kind messages, cards & flowers on the loss of my lovely Dad last week, and for being flexible and understanding with your drop off and collection times over this past year whilst he’s been ill, with juggling work and hospital visits - I am truly grateful xx

2010 - 7th November 2024

Its with great sadness that we wish to let our Muttlyns clients, past and present, and our Muttlyns friends know that we had to say a sudden goodbye to our special girl yesterday. She had been on a gentle decline these last few years but she deteriorated rapidly on Wednesday, and was sent on her way peacefully with chicken sausage. As a new client you would have met Amber at your meet & greet, the oldest but smallest of our dogs, the one that would ignore your own dog but make a beeline for you, as she adored people, often sitting next to you as we chatted.

Amber came into our lives in July 2012 via Many Tears Animal Rescue after failing as a gundog in the Republic of Ireland, and was due to be destroyed before she was rescued locally before heading to Wales. In her time with us she has climbed Mount Snowden, walked a lot of the South West Coast Path, and many canal towpaths, camped firstly in the tents, then the motorhomes. Shes been on buses, trains and boats, and went to France via the tunnel, making herself at home on Omaha beach in Normandy by rolling in delight in a dead seabird. In her younger days she excelled in chasing the seabirds, and working the perimeter of the fields, that all abated as she started to feel her age. She never barked in the 12 years plus we had her, and her tapdancing on the floors to alert us she needed feeding earned her the moniker Ginger Rogers
Amber was adopted as a companion to Shankly, and they rapidly become a bonded pair, she missed him greatly when he passed away, and my only consolation now is that they are finally reunited.
She was mainly called Ambs or Amby, our little tapdancer Ginger. My darling girl, we already miss you immensely, and our fractured hearts have splintered a little more. Give my lad a huge cwtch from me, and see you both on the other side. We love you ###x

Back home from our late Summer break, and a big thank you to a wonderful friend, who wishes to remain anonymous, for the loan of a dog buggy for Amber, being able to take her away for her final holiday has been precious, and some lovely memories to look back on

Lovely, sunny walk today, so mild I ditched the thermal gloves mid walk 😁 Charlie’s last few days with us

My first walk in a month!! The sheer volume & pressure of water made the usual end of walk dip not safe so clean up completed at home 😁🐕🐕
