Great morning at Southern Area shows today with Eliza and Dusty flying the shetland flag.

Trythall Fire by Night
🥇 1st in the newly backed. With some nice quality ponies.

Hodeam Eliza
4th in a well supported tiny tots lead rein. Just need to work on desensitising her to clapping. 🤦🏽‍♀️ however beside this she is only 5 and has had best part of a year out and only had foal off her 3 weeks ago so not to bad considering. Especially when against well seasoned ponies.

Bless this mare. Love her so much. Only had a foal weaned off 3 weeks ago, a youngster herself at 5 yrs of age and goes out to a show in the wind and rain on Sunday to look after Sam. Not looking her very best at the mo in her winter woolies and has lost a fair bit of condition and muscle but that foal was a whopper. Just the sweetest girlie with the best hair and added bonus of a fab pedigree including Marshwood and Wells lines.

Treated Liza to an early Christmas present. Although It did land me in trouble yesterday as I tried to hide the parcel but then Sam decided to find it at dinner time and asked what’s this right in front of Ali 🫣😂 cheers Sam 🙄 I have a bigger one for the fells and absolutely love it so couldn’t resist buying one in Shetland size.

Eliza the best behaved pony as ever, Dusty a total poppet with Sam despite being a freshly backed green 4yr old young pony looked after Sam like his life depended on it. Greeness showed off the leadrein and the canter in the individual didn’t go to plan but its all part of the journey learning the ropes. 💝 And Niffler well let’s just not go there…. 🫣🌶️🌶️🌶️🤣🤣

I could not have asked more of this little young pony today. Lead rein champion. Second ever show under saddle, tolerating an evening performance with music, a 3yr old jockey, clapping and big horses cantering past. He also put his brave(ish) pants on to do his first ever show off the LR to take 3rd in the walk trot class with Scarlett and bagged their place in the evening performance in the time to sparkle class where they did amazing in the go round with all the big ones. Super proud of my little team today 🫶🏼 Storm also not to be forgotten who picked up section champion in the time to Sparkle future generation.
