Update-🚨We have until December 31st to find wonderful Pebbles a home due to the incoming ban on rehoming American XL Bullies.
Pebbles is approximately 2 and half years old and came from a case of neglect and abandonment; through all this she is such a wonderful dog and we’d love to see her in a fabulous forever home being adored like she deserves. 🥰
Everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Pebbles has fallen in love with her, she really has touched all our hearts. 💕
If you are looking for a dog which loves fusses and companionship for the rest of their life, then Pebbles is absolutely the one for you.
This loveable girl is looking for a really special home with owners who are committed to continue working with her. 😇
She has been working with staff at the centre on a behaviour modification programme which will need to be continued by her new family. Trained staff at the centre will continue to support with this and for a limited time Pebble’s adopter will also have free support from a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist at Dogmestix.
❗Pebbles will need some time to settle into her new home so we would like to find people who are home most of the time, although she will be able to be left for short periods once settled. Pebbles is a very intelligent girl and a quick learner and has already progressed so well with her training.
She has done really well with her socialisation around other dogs and is now much happier walking in closer proximity to them, she will need continued work on this and should not be put into any situations where she may feel overwhelmed.
We are looking for a home for Pebbles where:
● She’s the only pet in the home
● There are at least two adults to ensure Pebble’s training is as effective as possible
● New owners must be able to provide a calm and predictable environment to assist with Pebbles transition into the new home
● Owners should ideally be based on the Isle of Wight so staff can continue to support behavioural training
● Her owners are committed to giving her a special diet to help with allergies and preventative ear medication (the centre will help with the costs of these)
● Owners are willing to continue the work advised by the behaviourist and accepting that there will be limitation in situations that Pebbles can cope with and places she can go during her training.
❗Pebbles is a large bull breed and if determined by the UK government in future as an illegal breed, under the new definition, the registered owner will be expected to comply with all necessary legal requirements in order to keep the dog. This may include keeping the dog on lead and muzzled at all times when out in public and maintaining third party insurance. For more information please see the national RSPCA advice on their website. You would also need to apply for exemption. The centre are happy to help provide support through this process.
We have until December 31st to find Pebbles perfect new home so would ask for applications from only those people who meet the criteria above. Thank you. 🙏🙏
Please share this post as much as possible.
