Showing off our new Christmas Pudding snuffle ball from . We love it!!! 🐾❤️.

Otis has been enjoying the snuffle ball in his pen as he recovers from stage 1/2 IVDD. And Pretzel has been enjoying it as he can’t play with his brother right now so it’s been perfect!

That’s it folks! Our last snuggle sack order all made for 2024.

Thank you to absolutely everyone that has supported us whether that be by purchasing, following, recommending or just popping by and giving us a like. It really does help immensely.

We’re off now until the New Year, spending time with family and helping Otis get better so we can enjoy some walkies again.

Our website will remain open but orders will not be processed until January.

UPDATE 🐾❤️

We’ve had another positive day today.

Honestly, these little dogs are so resilient.

Otis was in his pen for quite a while this morning from 7.45 am to 1.15 pm when I got home from work and he hadn’t made a sound. He’d just been chilling, snoozing and watching This Morning!

I took Pretzel out for a nice bimble after we picked up a stroller for Otis on FB marketplace for £20 … absolute bargain!

Pretzel is missing having rumbles with his brother and can’t seem to fathom why Otis is being contained but he does like to give Otis’s ears a good seeing to when Otis is having family time in the evening.

So, all in all. It’s been a good day and Otis continues to improve which is what we all want one day at a time ❤️‍🩹.

UPDATE 🐾

We’ve had lots of messages asking how Otis is getting on so I thought I’d do a little post.

So, Otis is doing really well. He’s eating and toileting as normal. He’s coping with his crate rest really well and is only coming out for about 5 mins every few hours.

I spoke to the vet today who is happy for him to continue with his crate rest for the next couple of weeks and we have a review with her in early January so she can assess him.

He’s still wagging his tail and trying to run around so he is wearing a lead and harness on his little breaks.

His pain medication will continue for now.

All his training is really paying off right now. So he knows ‘place’ (which is to go to his crate or pen) and he knows ‘spot’ which is where he can sit and wait and we have fussy time (or sit and wait for some cheese!).

The fact that both Pretzel and Otis have slept in their crates since puppyhood has been invaluable so it’s not a scary place for them. Something I would encourage new dog owners to do. If anyone needs some crate training advice, I’m sure Jackie Murphy at Specialist Dog Training could help.

UPDATE 😒

So, unfortunately it’s not the news we were hoping for.

Otis has IVDD and will be going for an MRI possibly on Tuesday. He’s on crate rest, Gabapentin and Loxicom.

We’re pretty devastated to be honest and I can’t help but think it’s my fault for letting them jump about and play rough together.

Thankfully they are both crate trained so being in their crate is not an issue. In fact, they love being in them so that’s a positive.

Also, proud mum moment … she said his teeth were beautiful and he weighs 7.5 kg so our weight loss programme has worked because he was 8.4 kg!

Please hug your babies tight today and give them extra treatos because Otis and Pretzel said so! 🦴

UPDATE:

We’re off to the vets at 10.30 and his back legs are a little unsteady.

We have a poorly sausage 😕. He’s eating and pooping normally but he’s developed a bit of a hunch when walking and his left back leg looks awkward so he’s on crate rest.

We’ll reassess him over the weekend.

We’re hoping he’s just hurt himself playing rough and tumbles with Pretzel as he did yelp on Tuesday night when they were wrestling! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 ❤️
