We have a pupdate on the lovely Kyla. She's enjoying getting out and about in her wheels and having fun!
With it's welded aluminium saddle to support the dog and NHS approved full bearing wheels our carts can cope with any terrain!

This is Gilbert trying his new wheels for the first time. He's definitely very keen! Many thanks to Jane and Kevin for sharing their video. We're sooo happy to see Gilbert doing so well and looking forward to seeing more of his adventures in his Dog Wheels UK cart!

Kyla's having a great Christmas in the set of wheels we made for her. Maybe we need to ramp up production and get wheels made for other dogs in need!?

Prototype cart No 1: That's the saddle and struts in the correct place.... all ready to be welded!

Another milestone closer to making our first cart! Delrin blocks cut, drilled and tapped. Support struts bent to shape. Saddle bent to right size/shape. We've had technical issues to get this far we ain't giving in now! Next step welding saddle and side struts :)

Some of the tests we've been doing on a mock up cart to test the welding strength. Weight on the cart is 15kg. We've dragged it about across all sorts of surfaces, impacted it and generally abused it. The final impact test is a drop from 0.5m resulting in an impact force of between 1.6 and 2.0g (difficult to be accurate with the calculations so some assumptions had to be made on time of impact etc.). We hope no dog ever experiences an impact of that magnitude but if they DO the cart won't fall apart ;)
