Did you know horses can sleep both standing up AND lying down? 🐴

Thanks to a special locking system in their legs, they can rest while standing. However, they can only reach REM sleep when they're lying down!

So, if you see a horse standing still for a while, don’t worry—they’re just catching some rest in a different way. 💤

The last day of January is here! Why does it always feel like January is 300 days long? Maybe it's the dark mornings and nights taking their toll, or the never-ending wait for payday? Whatever it is, this month sure knows how to drag! But don’t worry—spring is on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share our new spring range with you!

HELP – Horsy Hair Growth Struggles! 🐴

Winter can be brutal for both us and our horses, and one of the toughest things we deal with is manes getting rubbed away. Despite our best efforts, this year we’re still battling a large section missing at the bottom of the neck.

At our head office, we’ve been making sure rugs come off daily, manes are cleaned regularly, no neck rugs are worn, and we’ve even added biotin to the feeds. But... we're still not seeing the results we were hoping for.

Anyone out there have go-to products, tips, or tricks to help manage rubbed manes and encourage hair growth in winter? Would love to hear your experiences!

Winter can be tough on us and our horses—whether it’s dragging ourselves out into the cold, the constant darkness, or trying to stay on top of training after a winter break. We love doing pole work, both in-hand and under saddle, but let’s be honest, the cost of cavalettis and poles can really add up, especially after the holiday season!

That’s where £1 potties come in! 🙌 They raise the poles just like the real deal, and they’re a total money saver. It’s a great way to keep your training on track without breaking the bank.

It's a cold morning here, with snow still on the ground, I’m not going to lie — I'm dreading heading outside to feed and muck out right now. But as I stand here, I’m also deeply grateful.

My horse and my horse life bring me so much joy, peace, and friendships. It can be nerve-wracking and full of uncertainty at times, but each time I get on, I’m in awe that this 700kg beautiful beast chooses to communicate with me. We speak two completely different languages, yet somehow we work as one — how incredible is that?

The bond we share is something truly special, unspoken but so real. My boy doesn't hold grudges, doesn't judge, fab listener 😂 in a world that can feel anything but stable. In a world that's often uncertain and sometimes scary, I am reminded of the things I’m grateful for.
