The first day of spring is finally here! As an equestrian, this time of year I am grateful the promise of warmer weather and longer days, however it can bring renewed energy and excitement for our ponios - giving those fresh grass feelings 🤣

After the cold winter months it’s time to get back into the rhythm of riding outdoors with hopefully less puddles ☺️

It’s Love Your Pet Day!!

As equestrians, we know all about loving our pets—rain, snow, wind, and those glorious fields of mud! We do it all for the love. Our non-horsey friends often ask, Why do you do this? Do you love your horse that much? The truth is, yes, we absolutely do!

The horse lifestyle isn’t for the faint-hearted. Blood, sweat, tears, and yes, your entire salary poured into your beautiful beast—who, by the way, is blissfully unaware that you've spent sleepless nights worrying if they're okay, while they’re out testing whether the new post and rail fencing is really solid by cartwheeling over it. 😅

Thanks to a special locking system in their legs, they can rest while standing. However, they can only reach REM sleep when they're lying down!

So, if you see a horse standing still for a while, don’t worry—they’re just catching some rest in a different way. 💤
