Do you have any planned time away from home with work commitments, or perhaps you and your family are jetting off on a dream holiday, but are put off the idea of using traditional boarding kennels? Pads For Pooches is a professional dog home boarding service based in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. We work in close association with THE BARK PARK to provide high quality pet s

ervices and a desirable alternative to traditional kennels. We provide a holiday home from home for your beloved pet - complete with all their usual amenities, toys and routines - all whilst under the care of one of our devoted dog loving home boarders. They provide bundles of love and care for your pet as if it were their own. No kennel establishment can match this standard - as we know, your dog deserves the very best! We understand how unnerving it can be to leave your beloved pet in the care of someone else whilst you are away. That's why in order to provide the very best possible care for your pet during their holiday stay, we are very selective in who we recruit as a home boarder. All Pads For Pooches home boarders are experienced dog lovers, having owned dogs before or are currently an owner themselves. Our home boarders are fully DRB checked, council licensed and insured, giving you piece of mind that your beloved pet is kept in the very best of hands. Following our meeting with yourself and your dog(s) we take note of all the relevant details and requirements about your pet. We then take careful consideration into which home boarder is the best match for your dog(s). You are more than welcome to meet your pet's home boarder prior to their stay and will be provided with all their contact details, so you can check in with them directly at any time during their holiday stay. You will receive photos and/or videos of your pet(s) showcasing everything they have been up to for your piece of mind. As we are partnered with THE BARK PARK in Whalley, your pet can be dropped off or collected from THE BARK PARK along with all of their belongings. We understand that your pet's welfare is of the utmost importance. With Pads For Pooches, you can enjoy your dream holiday or focus on your work away from home without any worries, all whilst having piece of mind that your pet is being cared for with the same level of love and affection you provide them with yourself! As the temperature rises, it's crucial to keep our furry friends cool and protected from the summer heat. Let's learn how to beat the heat and prevent heatstroke in our beloved pups.

🌡️🔴 Danger Zone: Did you know that temperatures above 75°F (24°C) can put dogs at risk of heatstroke? Remember, they can't regulate their body temperature like we do. Check out our handy graphic to see safe and unsafe temperature ranges for our furry friends.

🌿 Seek shade and hydration: When outdoors, provide ample shade for your pup to relax in. Carry a portable water bottle and offer frequent sips to keep them hydrated.

🐾 Walks and exercise: Plan walks and exercise during cooler times of the day, such as early morning or late evening, to avoid the scorching heat.
