Obesity is an epidemic among our cats. I'm not here to fat shame any cat, and I love a chonky cuddle too, but being overweight contributes to diabetes, arthritis and poorer quality of life for our kitties. If you want to get weight off your cat you can follow this supremely simple piece of advice!
Thinking about getting a Scottish Fold? Please think again, this breed often suffers their entire lives from debilitating arthritis caused by the same mutation that gives them those cute folded ears. Watch the video for more information!
What's the problem with the backpack? It's not what your cat would choose, even if we love it so much.
Join me for a free live "Repair Cafe" for cats on Nov 8th and 9th.
I will reveal to you the 5 most common reasons I see cats for appointments when I do not need to. If those cat owners knew what I will tell you on thw live training, they could have treated and repaired their cat at home... often without spending any money.
I will also do live "repairs" on the call. You can submit your repair beforehand and I will help you and your cat.
The repair cafe is free, simply register using this link https://firstclasscatclub.mykajabi.com/registration-page.
See you there!

Many cats are timid and prefer to have a little reassurance as they explore their territory. Walking your cat is a fantastic way to bond! I take Chirp for a walk at least once a day in the spring and summer. He spends far longer outside if I'm with him. And when your cat gives you the ankle rub outside, swoon, you feel like the chosen one!
I'm grateful that he's a fair weather cat, I'm not sure my commitment to him extends to standing around in the cold for 30 minutes in January as he explores the neighbour's gardens 😂.
My neighbours know me as the crazy cat lady that walks her cat, but really, isn't he walking me?

What is FIP
The letters F I P mean nothing until you have watched your cat or kitten die from the fatal disease feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), while you stand by, powerless to help. Cat owners and vets have waited decades for any hope for a treatment or cure for this disease. Finally that day has come. FIP is now a curable disease. But many cats are still dying despite this cure, and it is not for the reason you may think. Watch my short video to find out more. If you want to learn more about FIP you can check out the video on my website, link in bio.
Do you know a new cat owner? Tag them so they can know about this disease too.

How often should I deflea my cat?
Fleas are an inevitable part of having a cat. Coming into summer we are likely to see more fleas, but it is not just in the spring and summer that we see fleas. Should we treat our cats just over the summer months? Or all year round? That really depends on your circumstances and your cat's lifestyle. Watch my video to find out more!
P.S. If you are having trouble getting rid of fleas in your home I have made a 5 minute video on my website www.allcats.co.uk/post/how-to-get-rid-of-fleas-for-good that will take you through the most common reasons for this. I guarantee that it is 5 minutes well spent to get rid of those horrible fleas!
How to keep your cat cool in summer
With summer fast approaching many of us worry about our furry companions overheating on warm days. There is plenty that you can do to make sure summer is cool and safe for your cat. An ice cube tray and a damp towel are just some of the things that can help keep your cat cool all summer long.
Is it normal for my cat's drinking to increase?
Are you filling up the water bowl more frequently for your cat? This may be an early sign that something is not quite right. There are 4 common illnesses that cause cats to drink more. Some of these illnesses are reversible, if caught early. All of these illnesses are worth knowing about so that you can seek treatment early and keep your cat as healthy as possible for as long as possible.
Skin cancer in cats
Skin cancer is super common in older cats who have white or ginger ears or a white or ginger nose. The last thing any of us want to do with our older cat is to put them through surgery or chemotherapy for skin cancer. Yet that is where many MANY owners find themselves. The good news is that skin cancer is pretty much 100% preventable! In this video I will tell you all you need to know to prevent skin cancer in your cat.
