A Team dog walking and Pet Care

🌲Today we had a last minute treat to Chris’s Rustic Dog Park in Shadwell , Leeds . 🌲

We’ve followed Chris & Tricia ( family friends of mine ) on their dog park journey ever since they opened and it just improves every time and when you think it can’t get any better , it does exactly that.

🐶 It’s great for those adventure walks but also gives you a space for your exclusive use if you have a reactive dog , dog in season , want to train your dog or just if you fancy a change .

💦 The fresh water and hose is a real hit especially when it’s been super muddy ( what feels like forever ) and having a WC on site is a game changer ! Especially for us dogwalkers 😆

Today we tried out some new treats from and they did not disappoint. Beef burger dog treats with no nasties in them ….. safe to say I have none left now and must go top up tomorrow 🍔🐶🐾

Today Ringo had a few crazy zoomies in the enclosed woods , resulting in his thin skin on his feet and pads taking a few scratches to them . His carpal pad in particular did not want to stop bleeding so after a good clean with Saline I bandaged and vet wrapped it up.

This is always a reminder to make sure you find and use a dog walker with canine first aid skills and training , meaning peace of mind for you and your dog!

Canine first aid training is an essential part of any responsible dog walking service and a crucial requirement for your dog’s safety and security when you leave them in someone else’s care.

Going for a dog walk may seem like a safe and easy thing to do but nothing beats being prepared for the unexpected.

Dogs are inquisitive animals with boundless energy. Especially when someone reaches for their lead! If you add to that the frequency with which they stick their noses into places they shouldn’t or burst into a sprint to chase after something that moves, you have all the ingredients for a mishap. Walks are such an exciting part of a dog’s day, but it only takes a second for an accidental injury to occur.

Nobody wants to imagine any harm coming to their pet. Which is why it makes sense to check your dog walker is pet first aid trained. Should an accident occur, dog walkers need the confidence and training to deal with pet related emergencies and the ability to make a decision to call for veterinary assistance if they are unable to reach you.

I was set a challenge yesterday by my lovely friend who tagged me in a professional animal photographers pictures of action shots of dogs faces mid being thrown a treat .
