The Monday Crew 😎 Happy New Year from all of us at Reggie’s Place 🥳

We have started the year with five new doggies signed up to join us just over the last week!! More booked in for a visit, so 2025 will be fun packed! 🤩
Wednesdays and Thursdays are almost full, but we do have some spaces.

We pick up / drop off from Northiam to Icklesham and all the places in between 🚗

Tonight at 8pm on BBC1 is Mary Berry’s “Mary Makes Christmas”.

We had the privilege to look after Mary’s beautiful doggy Freddie whilst Mary and Amanda Holden got cookin’ at The Mermaid Inn Rye and then did carol singing at Church of the Holy Spirit Rye Harbour

What a lovely doggy and doggy Mum. Amanda was equally lovely and regaled of tails of her puppy Minnie eating her very expensive shoes 😱😆

Whilst we won’t be on camera, apparently they couldn’t have done it with out us 🤔😆💕

To the couple, with the beautiful black spaniel, at the nature reserve who lost their dog lead…. Sorry, I looked everywhere but couldn’t find it…. Maybe it’s been handed in at the Discovery Centre or hung on a fence post I didn’t see… 🤞🤞

What South Coast Dog Training said ….. 🐶💕🐾

Please, if you’re thinking about getting a new dog, a rescue or from a breeder (always do your research!) do consider the breed of dog and what their requirements are. 🐶
Can you suitably fulfil their needs?
Will you get what you want from that breed?
Will they receive enough stimulation to be content in your lifestyle?
Will you be hard pushed to fit in training or will it be a core part of your day?
Do you have adequate space and means to exercise that type of dog?

🐕 For instance, a working line Border Collie living in a small flat with owners that work 9-5pm may begin to exhibit undesirable behaviour such as shadow chasing, spinning and herding family members as its needs are not being met.
🐕 A greyhound being kept in a small cage all day may begin to show soreness in his joints from lack of space.
🐕An elderly dog being forced to keep up with younger dogs, or maybe constantly being antagonised, could result in a snappy or apprehensive character.
🐕A very large breed with a petite, first time dog owner, could easily overpower them and become dangerous through lack of clear direction and control.
🐕All you want is to snuggle a fluffy friend in the evenings after work, but your Aussie is bouncing off the walls with unused energy.
🐕You want a big, cool looking dog, but find you’re struggling to afford the food bills, so you opt for cheap supermarket food and your dog now has skin problems and gastroenteritis from all the nasty cheap fillers they load it with.

🧡Having dogs is a luxury - no one needs a dog.
It is our duty to provide the most suitable home and lifestyle for the breeds we choose.
Even if that means being covered in mud on rainy days because your English Springer Spaniel feels the need to hunt through hedgelines!
