Today was a little more traumatic. Two simultaneous labours, both with stuck kids. Luckily vet was on hand to deliver one whilst husband delivered the other in the stable next door!! Both kids are now nursing and bonding with their mums. Been a looong day after being up all night searching for missing Peg 🐶 Huuuugely proud of both of our boys today who have been INCREDIBLE helping with the goats and dog search and my eldest also did his first keyboard performance as part of the school rock band. MEGA proud. And exhausted 😅 another nanny goat now is labour so will see what this evening brings 🩷🐐

Thankyou so so much for all the shares- she's just been found in the neighbours yard and is safe, dry and happy. Can't stress how much I appreciate all the offers for help looking. It has been a very long and worrying night so the relief is MASSIVE. Thankyou all again 🐶🩷

Another Throwback Thursday ⏪️⏪️⏪️ Rewinding 4 years to our last lot of pigs 🐖
I will do a post for pre-orders dreckly as we will have pork boxes, joints, chops and sausages coming up from our current outdoor reared piggies
The boys are doing an incredible job raising and caring for them and the youngest boy has talked us round to keeping a couple of sows to raise some piglets of our own next year 🤭
Very much looking forward to having a freezer full of pork again in the new year too!

Here they are finding their feet about 5 minutes old 🥰
Textbook birth, strong kids and mum is doing a fantastic job.
This year, kid names will all start with D, and these twins are Dasher and Dancer 🎄☺️

How is everyone this morning? 🐐 Goat checks show no signs of labour or incoming babies! I've told all the expecting nannies to keep their legs crossed until Monday 😆 Darragh is proving to be fierce and hardly a wink of sleep checking cameras to make sure animals are all OK through the night. Hopefully the storm blows through with minimal damage 🌬

🐣 Freshly hatched and off to the brooder (quickly before they all jump out 🤣) Easy to forget how small and fast Quail are but its nice to hear cheeping from the incubator again! Next round of eggs lockdown tomorrow and can't wait already 😅🐣

Youngest boy's morning routine, riding down to feed his piggies before school 🩷 makes me super proud. The pigs are growing well- loving their snuffles and snorts. Pork will be available from early next year and there is talk of piglets on the cards for next year too 🤭🐽🩷

Meet the herd 🩷🐐🩷 Some of the nanny goats are due to come in soon in preparation for kidding. We're all making bets on who pops first and I'm always wrong 🤣 can't wait for this year's babies and have everything crossed for smooth deliveries and healthy arrivals. We run Pygmy Goat Club registered Pedigree herd with 3 gorgeous Billy goats and 20+ nanny goats. There a few unregistered goats in amongst them but they are just as loved and very much part of the family 🩷 We are Johnes, CAE and CL tested clear herd (last test June 2024) and they are my absolute pride and joy !! Sire to this year's kids is Worthen Boris and he produces incredibly beautiful offspring ! 🩷🐐🩷

The littlest emus are growing biiig! They've just turned 3 months old and hoping to DNA sex them very soon once I have tagged them as I can't tell the little devils apart easily 😅 Eggy, Chips and Sausage at the end of the video have just turned 9 months old. Integrating emus is not an easy task so they communicate through the fence until the youngsters have grown on a bit more then will introduce them slowly and hopefully successfully 🤞 Eliza and George remain in their own separate paddock as a pair for the breeding season 🩷

I hope this video makes you as happy as it does me! The pigs moved into their new paddock this week and those are some happy little snorters 🐽
