My Name is Gracie, I run a small, local animal rescue for young, injured or stunned wildlife. I rehabilitate them and release them with the help from my mum.

The seagull chicks - Beaky and Buttons - having their first little swim in their new pool. They absolutely loved it and definitely will be going in again during this hot weather.

Bonny the pigeon is also doing very well and recovering from a bad concussion. Shes starting to get her footing and spark back which is a very positive sign.

In the last week or so we have had two seagull chicks ( now named Beaky and Buttons ) come to us after both falling out of their nest! Unfortunately the home owners and us were unable to get them back into their nest as well as it being unsafe to leave them on the ground for various reasons. Despite this they are now very happy with us where they will continue to thrive!

We have also had a pigeon that had been brought to us after receiving a call from a local vet asking whether we would be able to look after it, which of course we were. Fortunately it has suffered no significant injuries and is already on the road to recovery.

Been a while but still going strong with Injured birds and animals. The other day we had a very sweet pigeon with a nasty cat attack but since then it has recovered very well and is already fit and flying. Hoping to be able to help some more birds over the summer!

About a week ago we got a baby pigeon that had fallen out of its nest. Now named Pippin, he has regular feeds and has become very tame within our care. He’s doing very well and we’re hoping for a successful release as soon as he is old enough and able to fly.

We recently received a wood pigeon that turned out to be quite injured. It has been shot through breast and was very scared and tired. We gave it food and water which it was grateful for, and treated the injury appropriately. Infection had already began to take hold of the wound but we continue to look after this bird to the best of our ability.

A little Blue tit flew Into our Great Granny’s house! We caught it and released it outside, for it to be free once again! Goodbye little birdie!

Pizza and poppy ( I didn’t mention poppy yet as I didn’t get time but she is also a pigeon) have already taken to the sky both flying of on the same day. Pizza and poppy took of from my arm, confidently now searching the skies for a new friends.

We have two more visitors, Pizza who is on the
left and Primrose who is on the right, both doing well. Pizza who crashed into a window will be set free soon but Primrose we will keep a bit longer due to being shot through the wing and having a bad injury we are treating.

Today, Samantha was successfully released back into the wild after recovering from a bad injury which was infected under her wing!
