They did incredibly well; we didn’t have to carry them at all, as they made it all the way up and down on their own. Meanwhile, Joy was at home keeping Gaya company. Now everyone’s happily resting, sleeping, and gearing up for the next adventure. Couldn’t be prouder!

Dachshunds are a breed prone to becoming overweight, so it is important to monitor the amount of food that they are eating. The best way is to weigh the feed, and if they start getting chubby, adjust it accordingly. Another great way is to feed not in plain bowls but either use slow feeding ones or treat ball like Ginny is presenting in the video. She loves food, and if she could, she would vacuum it in 3 seconds. The video is in normal speed, and you can see how quickly she's swallowing kibble of the floor. That way, she is also entertained for a lot longer which is especially important in those days where we can not go for a longer walk.
