Is this just the best head tilt you've ever seen? SO excited to finally welcome Tex, who's been patiently waiting to join Puppy Club, to class next week 🥰

Meet Hector, the handsomest of boys (and ALL of his toys!). Hector's humans asked for some help with typical puppy behaviours - bitey zoomies, sofa surfing and all round puppy mayhem JUST as everyone sits down to watch TV.

We moved Hector's bed (and all of his toys!) close to the sofa so he's still with his family and practised reinforcing calm behaviour - with a few brain breaks in between - making his bed the best spot in the house, where chew toys, chews, and kongs are delivered...

Hector was super quick to learn - as were his fabulous family! - who are all involved in his training, helping him thrive and live his best life 💛

See you again in a few weeks for Puppy Club Hector!

A big welcome to this absolutely gorgeous group of pups of all shapes and sizes who joined Puppy Club this week 🐾🖤🤍💛🤍🤎🐾

Finn the Border Collie, Wren the Havanese, Mabel and Betsy the Cockerpoos, Clive the Labrador, and last but not least, Hector the Labradoodle (too fast-moving for photos 😀).

This week's learning was all about positive reinforcement, enrichment, socialisation and foundation cues. See you next week for walk close, recall and play time...!

A belated congrats to these absolutely gorgeous pups - Piper, Aggie, Maise, Tilly, Walter and Dude - and their humans for graduating from Puppy Club last week!

It was so much fun working with each and every one of you, and watch those puppy personalities grow each session 💛🌟🎓🙌🌟

One of my favourite parts of Puppy Club is watching each puppy's personality develop each week 🐾

Here's siblings Piper and Aggie trying out the tunnel - it took a while, but once they did it they kept going back for more! - Walter exploring having fun with his human, and Maisie and Tilly enjoying sniffing time and showing off the best recall! 💖

It's not all about new cues - it's about helping them grow to be happy, confident dogs and this gorgeous crew are doing just that 🐾

Hi Maisie...! Well, I guess I did say look at the camera 👀

Yes, there's THREE sets of siblings in my new Great Ayton Puppy Club - Maisie + Tillie, Piper + Aggie, Duster + Dude (+ beautiful Buzz and wonderful Walter - and his very dapper eyebrows).

Such a pleasure to see them all growing in confidence this week, eagerly responding to new cues, exploring their environments, and each other 🐾

Oh, and their humans did so well too 🙌

Can't wait to see you all next week!

Lovely Luna, Roxy the Rocket, Darling Dolly and Ridiculously Handsome Roo joined me for a summer school session this week where we focused on recall around distractions and building confidence around other dogs.

They were all superstars but a big shout in particular to Miss Roxy and her humans who graduated from Puppy Club a few months ago and showed us her rocket recall 🚀

I'm now taking enrolments for puppy and juniors classes starting 4th September in Stokesley at 6.15pm and 7.30pm. There's just a few spots left in each. Contact me here if you'd like to book or at [email protected] 🐶

This week's pups, siblings, Welsh Springer Spaniels Bae and Kya and chocolate cockapoo, Otis hanging out at Puppy Club this week, learning life skills including calm interactions, walking close, and recall - with LOTS of brain breaks in between - puppy brains need this! - sniffing and hunting for treats, oh and some bear wrestling to round it all off! 🐾🐶🖤

Newest puppy recruit, Otis (yes, he really is made of chocolate) 🤎

I had an in-home session with Otis this week, and when I asked what his human wanted to get out of the session she said 'to give him the best start in life and be the best puppy parent I can be.'

This is the very best start to any in-home session for me...! 🌟🐾🌟

We talked home set up, day and night routines, meeting Otis' needs, and how to communicate with him clearly, and kindly and to set him up for success.

And, we practised foundation cues, with breaks for sniffing / hunting for treats, and Otis came bounding back each time to learn more. Can't wait to see you next week Otis!

Week 3 and 4 of Pupstars and Puppy Club and these pups are feeling so much more confident about their environment, interacting with each other, and - mostly! - the puppy tunnel!

Confidence building is just as important as learning new cues, and it's SO great to see these pups thriving 🐶

🌟 BIG shout out to superstar Anakin this week who won TWO Rosettes (best trick and waggiest tail - so proud! 💛) at a dog show and then came to class! 🌟

Remembering Pablo 🐾🌈🖤

Today social media told me it's pet remembrance day. We said goodbye to Pablo (AKA Perfect Pablo, Pabs, Pabolito, Pabolino, Pabsi, Sq**rt, Sausage, The Major) in December and we still miss him every day - from the soft nose nudge on our legs as he walked past, to his happy trot down towards his favourite rolling spot on the beach, to the scrunched up cushions and pillows where he'd build himself the comfiest of nests, to the magnificent Tibetan yodels he saved for the special people in his life - many of whom yodelled back, equally magnificently!

Thank you, Pablo, for enriching our life, and to the many special people and dogs who enriched his 🖤

And in memory of Pablo, and the thousands of dogs who have (and especially those who have not) been so loved, let's be kind to our dogs, always. Dogs are the very best companions us humans can have, and it's up to us to help them thrive in their human world as best and as gently as we can.

Introducing our newest Pupstars Bertie, Casper, Toby, Anakin, Fred and Tian (not pictured - sniffing out the best smells somewhere..!) who had fun exploring their new environment, and practising check ins and recall - often a challenge in new and distracting environments! - with lots of sniffing breaks in between learning.

This four week junior pups course is designed to help dogs (and their humans) build on foundation cues and life skills to live their very best life together 🐾

See you next week pupstars 🐶
