I have already clipped 25 horses this season and we are only a month in... 7 this week and it's only Tuesday!! (Fair to say I'm looking forward to my massage tomorrow... my body is sore)
Shetlands, cobs, family ponies and many young racehorses at home... Like this guy who fell asleep during his clip (no sedation needed for a brave 3yo) and looks slightly shocked to wake up with no hair 😂

A bit of a different post.
I am on the hunt for 2 rugs for Sandy now she has been clipped...
6ft 50/100g stable
6ft 200/250g stable
Detachable necks a must, no combos or standards.
Not fussed on colour or brand but must be in very good condition.
Sandy's current rugs are looking a bit worse for wear now as they are probably around 10 years old. Last year we got new turnouts but budgets meant the stable rugs had to wait till this year!

Hi Guys!!

You may have noticed a few changes recently.... if you haven't heres an update!! My business name has changed to Head-2-Hoof Animal Services!!

As I do so much more than just horses I thought it would only make sense to have a slight name change. A lot of you know I have been suffering the past year with a few back and ankle problems and general nerve pain issues. It seemed a very sensible option to finish up some of my riding and and take on a few more dogs. I am still doing my whole array of work including yard work, hacking, schooling, coaching, clipping and holiday covers. But I have taken on a bit more dog walking, farm work, housesitting and also a few hours a week at Courtyard Clinic in Dursley. This has been a bit of an excuse to get off my feet 7 hours a week and let my body have some time off from the manual labour. I have been a patient there for quite a few years so when I was offered a few hours a week in the middle of the day it was a no brainer!

Go and check them out on Facebook Courtyard Clinic they are awesome for all physio and chiro needs but also massage therapies which we all need every now and then especially us riders and walkers!! And you may bump into me while you're there!

Thank you all for keeping me so busy and catch up with you all soon!!

Making the most of the dry weather🐶
I don't usually take groups out, i like to stick to duos and trios but these guys all know eachother and a hectic diary called for them all to go together and have a big group playdate! Fair to say they were all knackered and went straight to sleep when we got back in the car 😂

Hi guys!
Just Sproutie and I checking in from the horse lorry. September is now full! October spaces are limited. (See my most recent diary post for availability)

Clipping bookings are coming in thick and fast as well so get in there before it's too late... I'm already having to put my group bookings for clipping in November as October is limited so pre booking and planning ahead is key🐴

Doggy clients-
Sadly it's already that time of year and the seasons are on the change now.
Please make sure towels are left out for me (I only have a few and with Sproutie with me all day she goes through a few just herself in the autumn/winter)
And also I would really appreciate if you have outside taps and hose pipe that I am able to use that you leave it all easy for me to use/send a pic of where it is. I do have my doggy wash but sometimes a hose is much easier 🐶
A busy few weeks ahead so I'll see you all soon!

Hi all, firstly how cute is joey enjoying his morning banana (it's become a bit of a ritual) Secondly... Diary date changes!!! I have had a change of dates for my working away in August. From 25th-29th to 26th-29th this means i will be available now for the Thursday as usual. Regular clients you will automatically be rebooked in 🥰 Friday to Monday I will not be around. Cheers! Lx

Last day at work before my holiday spent with these guys, all had a lovely cooling bath, three manes pulled and some very soggy trainers for me.. Good job it's hot enough to dry them out!! I will not have my work phone on me next week whilst in Devon on my summer holiday so will get back to all messages when we get home. See you all soon Cheers L x

Me and the ginger ninja Harri (Harridoodles to me 🤣) went for a lovely blast today... such a cool horse 😍

No rides out in the sunshine for me tomorrow that's for sure!! So happy to squeeze in a ride with Teddy today we both needed it I think!! Everyone please go so careful out tomorrow in storm Eunice its going to be a nasty day!

Just finished up on my second ride of the morning... took this short video to send to his owner. Working in a small indoor because no one wants to get soaked through at the start of the day 🌧 Using corners to our advantage and not motorbiking round them! Harri is very good and enthusiastic with walk to canter but people always forget to get those gait changes in the downwards transitions too. So the small school and corner was our best friend. For a first attempt this big boy tried his hardest what a way to start the day 🥰

Loved looking after this crazy horse while her mum was self isolating. She's such a pleasure to do and such a character! 🥰🥰

Squeezed this gorgeous boy in for a school in my manic 12h day today!! Can't believe how well he has improved in the past couple weeks. Really starting to show his potential I always knew he had from his first ride! Giggle and smiles the whole way round (until he knocked the tiny warm up cross pole 🤣) looking forward to the next two days for his assisted schooling with his rider 😍
