National Exercise Day is celebrated on 18 April every year. It is a day to encourage everyone to participate in physical activities. and what better way to have fun and keep fit than with our 🐶 fur families. Exercise enhances our general health by giving us more energy, making us feel better, and even extending our lives by years. Regular physical activity and exercise have several health benefits that are impossible to overlook. National Exercise Day is a day to encourage and motivate people to exercise, with the aim that it will be the start of a new habit for everyone and what better way than to do it with your 🐶a great way to spend quality time together. Learchild Dog Field is a great way for your dogs to have fun and freedom whilst they exercise knowing they are secure in our enclosed field, but do you have any favourite walks in Northumberland or any that you would like to do with your dogs. April is a great time to get out and explore why not visit Northumberland National Park for some great local information and walks . We would love to know your favourite walks or if you need any suggestions let us know

today 11 April and whether you’re already a devoted pet parent, or you’re still learning how to best fit a companion into your life, there are plenty of ways to celebrate! Furry friends, scaly sidekicks, and cute critters.

Designed to celebrate our unconditional love of pets, National Pet Day is a holiday that gives us an excuse to spread the love by giving back to animal rescue organisations, spoil our own beloved best friends, and advocate for the health and futures of all companion animals. The original goal of National Pet Day is to encourage the adoption of pets and improve their health and wellbeing.

Here’s some ideas of how to celebrate and get involved:

💜Donate pet supplies to your local animal
rescue centres

💜Support a rescue or animal welfare
organisation

💜Volunteer at a local animal shelter

💜 Support pet-loving brands that give back and are good to the environment

💜Upcycle some of your pets old toys and give them a refresh

💜A visit to Learchild Dog Field 😉

Have you got any other suggestions to add to the list? Or maybe you are a rescue organisation let us know what you do and we will give you a shout out plus let’s see some photos of your wonderful pets 🐱🐭🐹🐰🐍🦎🦜🦮

Did you know that 3 April is so why not put on your most comfortable shoes and go out to celebrate National Walking Day we have some amazing walks in Northumberland both at the coast and countryside. The day encourages people to be healthy and reminds us that just 30 minutes of walking every day can have a great impact on our overall health, and help prevent diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. So why not head out with your furry friend to keep you company and get stretching those legs and improving your mood and health. Be aware that this time of the year is so keep dogs on lead around livestock and if they need to let off steam afterwards and want some fun and freedom off lead book them a session Learchild Dog Field www.learchilddogfield.co.uk

Easter 🐣 weekend is a great chance to get outdoors with your 🐶 for some quality time together. If you are visiting us over Easter why not plan some egg’citing 😉fun with your 🐶 and plan an Easter Egg Hunt (of course not using human chocolate☺️) Learchild Dog Field with over 2 acres of field there’s plenty of hiding places for your dogs to ‘follow the scent’ for Easter treats.

1. Choose the right eggs

First up, the eggs! Plastic eggs work best for hiding dog food and treats, but getting the right ones is important; they can’t be so small that your pooch will accidentally swallow them, nor should they be able to chew them to pieces. Medium-sized plastic eggs that separate in half are ideal - even better if they have holes, or you’re able to drill holes in them, so your dog is able to catch the smell of the treats inside.

2. Choose the perfect setting .. of course 🐶💚

3. Fill your eggs with tasty, trackable treats
Strongly scented treats are the most successful for an egg hunt, as your pooch should be able to follow their nose to find them! Place a small piece of treat or food in each egg and be sure the egg is secured

4. Scatter them around the field
Hide the eggs all over the location. Be sure the eggs are accessible and your pooch needn’t hurt themselves by getting the egg and of course be sure that you have collected them all before leaving so the field is clear for next users

Best treats for doggy egg hunts

Doggy chocolate
Fresh meat
Cheese
Favourite dog treats/biscuits
