Summer holidays ☀️ have been busy soo far already!

We recently enjoyed attending and assisting the running of the Stoke Gabriel Village Dog Show. It was soo much fun and lovely to see villagers coming together to enjoy their shared love for dogs.

It was a super hot day but with shelters, hose sprinklers/baths and fresh cold water supplied the care and wellbeing for all the dogs attending was highest priority.

Huge thank you to all involved! It was a fabulous day!!

🐾✳️ JOB VACANCY!! ✳️🐾

Due to the expansion of the business, we are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and trustworthy individual who is passionate about dogs to join our Escapee team as a Dog Walker.

Previous experience working with dogs is not essential, but a love for dogs and positive attitude is!

Confident driver (due to lane driving) with own vehicle to transport and walk upto 5/6 dogs both on and off leads.

Normal working hours will be between 9:30am - 3:30pm on weekdays with the occasional weekend walk.

Employment will be on a self employed basis.

We don't just offer a dog walking service, some of our Escapee family come from our pet sitting service.

Microchipping our furr-babies (both dogs and cats) has been a widely viewed method of protection but this will now be a LEGAL requirement.

For our feline Escapee's, please be aware that from ***10th June 2024***, it'll be a LEGAL requirement to have your cats microchipped!!

Little Valley Animal Shelter, Exeter (RSPCA), are putting on an event on 25th May 2024, with this in mind, offering free microchipping! ⭐
If you're in need of this service drop them an email and let them know you're coming! 🙂🐾

*** EDIT- We have had an overwhelming response to our microchipping event which is great! If you have received an email reply from us then we look forward to seeing you next weekend.
For now, WE WILL HAVE NO MORE AVAILABILITY FOR ANY MORE CATS as we want to make sure we can microchip all those who have already said they are attending.
We hope to hold another day soon so look out for more updates on this! ***

❔ Did you know?
Starting June 10, 2024, it will be mandatory for all pet cats in England to have a microchip. This regulation applies to cats before they reach 20 weeks of age, with exceptions made for unowned cats such as feral and community cats. Even indoor-only cats must comply with the microchipping requirement. Additionally, it's necessary to maintain updated contact information on a Defra-approved microchipping database according to the new rules.

Failure to comply with the June deadline means you'll have a 21-day grace period to get your cat microchipped, failing which could result in a fine of up to £500 as per the new law.

When removing, please do so carefully and make sure you get the head out. If in doubt contact your vets!
