Sadly Beverley passed away 😢

Sleep tight lovely girl 💔🦔

‘Beverley’ only 290g arrived on Saturday from Beverley!! She was found out in the day

She was cold and dehydrated on arrival and 💩 checks showed she has roundworm and lungworm

She’s struggling a bit to be honest but Elaine is doing all she can, it could be a long road as she’s so small for this time of year

‘Flossie’ arrived last night, a big lad at 1295g 😮

He was found out in the garden at tea time yesterday with what we thought at first from photos was a strimmer injury

On arrival it was clear this is a burn and not strimmer injury and it’s not a fresh wound. How long he has been like this we don’t know but he must have been in terrible pain, the wound is quite large but part of it has healed

He is now on pain relief, antibiotics and had the wound treated which will continue

We now await a 💩 sample to check for internal parasites

Also admitted yesterday was ‘Peanut’ 510g found out in the day on the Playing Fields, HOSM

She didn’t look too bad on arrival apart from plenty of fleas and she’s had a lucky escape on her head with a strimmer!!! 😫

But warning lights were still flashing as she was out in the daytime. Sure enough she has lungworm and sounds chesty so she’s started parasite and antibiotic treatment 🤞🏻

Yesterday saw the arrival of ‘Ted’ 362g so still on the small side, found out in the day. It wasn’t long before we found he has both lungworm and roundworm, treatment has started 🤞🏻

Had a different sort of call today, to ask advice about a fox laid in a front garden in HOSM in the middle of the day

We were unsure if he was injured but turned out all was fine and he was having a lazy afternoon laid in the sun!! He looks very fit and well 😍

He soon trotted off when a passer by disturbed him and looked fine, always better to ask for advice if your unsure but keep your distance, it’s totally different kettle of fish to checking and catching a hedgehog and only for the experts!!

‘Morgan’ 636g arrived yesterday with a large wound to his head, thank goodness it’s not too deep. He’s also got sore eyes which are also been treated

He has the biggest Fluke burden we think we’ve ever had! Fluke as we say is the killer above lungworm and roundworm. This is very worrying as he has so much of it, he’s still lethargic but let’s hope the treatment he is receiving can help him turn that corner

‘Edie’ arrived on 5th March weighing just 198g!!! How, just how has she got through winter

She’s a very poorly girl found out in the day very lethargic, cold, with ticks, ringworm and mites

She was slowly warmed up and then given subcutaneous fluids to help rehydrate her

It took her some time to come round but she’s still with us. 💩 checks confirmed lungworm and a high burden of roundworm, she must have been feeling pretty rotten 😢

Found just in time by Elaine in Riccall, well done and thanks for rescuing & delivering her
