Today while I was working my dog Red, I used some of the Pure treats that they sent me as a sample, well I was very impressed!!

I feel like one of those people with a harmonica, drum and tambourine.

Honestly all the brain work today has been pretty exhausting but I wouldn’t swop my office for anything.

Today’s puppy class, week 1 all about enrichment!! They had a fab time and the kids used the K9 connectables to create their own enrichment toy.

Next week all about handling, grooming and vet checks!

I loved meeting you all today and I loved spending that hour giving you all the information that I could. Nice work puppies. 😘

This is a very sad day indeed! If you have any of Karen’s books on your shelves you have access to one of the greatest trainers! 💔

We are deeply saddened to learn of Karen Pryor's passing. She was a pioneer in animal training and behaviour whose contributions have shaped modern dog training as we know it. Her innovative approach and entrepreneurial spirit transformed the industry, paving the way for countless trainers and animals to benefit from science-based, positive reinforcement methods.

Karen’s work extended far beyond the Karen Pryor Academy, which has educated and inspired trainers worldwide. Her book, Don’t Shoot the Dog, introduced an entire generation of trainers to the principles of clicker training and remains a cornerstone of dog training literature. The annual Clicker Expos she founded became vital opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, and community-building within the field. Her legacy also includes Reaching the Animal Mind, a profound exploration of the science and art of animal training.

Karen’s vision, intelligence, and compassion revolutionised how we communicate with and understand our canine companions. Her contributions have had a lasting impact on the lives of trainers and the dogs they work and live with. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire and guide the animal training community for generations to come.

Our thoughts are with Karen’s family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Today is a right off!

An impromptu snow day. This morning I had to go to the yard to sort the horses as the lovely Kate couldn't get out for the snow (Thank God for the D Max)

James has to use the D Max later for work so I would have been in the van, which has the worst history for getting stuck whenever there is a hint of slippery weather. And I didn't want to have to pick Grace up in the van when it started to freeze. So there we have it a snow day!

Whilst I was at the yard I had a text from EE saying there was an issue with signal, so I couldn't send messages easily due to no signal.

I also had a few clients who where concerned about the travelling (which is totally understandable!)

But typical as the British weather is it is starting to thaw out!

Well, that just means one thing, a day at the computer!

How can these two apps be so far apart! I normally look at the BBC app because I have found it to be more accurate over the years. However today it’s not accurate at all!

We certainly do have snow, it’s coming down thick and fast. So for everyone today who’s booked in for training, I’ll keep an eye over next couple of hours and see what is the best outcome!

Well 2024 was an amazing year from beginning to end, here is a recap of all the awards we gave out in 2024.

That is a whole heap of dogs and their humans who have gained another ✔️ in their training box! Well done to all of you. It has been a pleasure and it was so gratifying to see you all develop and go further with your training goals.
