ARE YOU STRUGGLING WITH YOUR RESCUE DOGS BEHAVIOUR THEN DON'T WORRY WE HAVE YOUR BACK

Taking on a rescue dog can be daunting and challenging but it also has amazing rewards. Many rescue dogs come with a history of trauma and bad experiences, they may also have been through several homes so have no consistency and generally feel unsafe.

We here at Bare Bones K9 Training focus on creating a safe environment through positive reward training ethics. Teaching you how to adjust your new addition to your nome at their pace and offer them security. We will teach you calming activities, how to work to build an ever lasting bond and relationship. Training will be provided for you all on aspects including recall, loose lead walking, adjusting your dog to collar and harnesses, scent games and lots more, there are endless tips and exercises we can provide you with. If you have specific struggles dont worry we can tailor the training to your requirements as we have programs running to cover you and your dog.

If your rescue struggles around people then we offer zoom training to provide advise and basic exercises to help them adjust with a view to offer in person training when they are ready. We have a secure field at Bramshott where 121s, groups and workshops run so you never have to look further.

Group lead training walks run once a month so you can walk and train with other owners thereby not feeling alone.

So 2025 is seeing changes at Bare Bones K9 Training. We have some exciting workshops nearly ready to book for March/April time, these will be Loose Lead Walking and that all important Recall. Lots of well prepared exercises to enhance your training experience. We are also close to having a huge shelter installed at the field so it really does not matter what the weather is we will not be rained off. Even when we have those odd days at 30 degrees the shelter will provide great shade with ventilation. Working outdoors is real lifestyle training for your dogs so this shelter is so imporrant to us. Will keep you updated and post pictures when up. So excited with the up and coming classes and workshops. I have also released more 15 nin free zoom consultations to discuss your training needs.

Next block of puppy classes starting 2nd November at 10am. Come and have fun training with your puppy in a secure enclosed field working all the basic behaviours including recall tools, conditioning the recall cue, loose lead walking techniques, eye contact increasing in duration and around distractions, what is socialisation and how to provide this safely, what your pups body language is saying to you, building confidence around different equipment, how to settle your puppy when out in the environment and lots more. Thank you to everyone who attend my Group Lead Training Walk in Godalming Town Centre walking the high street with lots of distractions, the river side with off lead dogs around, ducks, people, pushchairs, bikes and then back to the Burys for some training exercises. 7 dogs of all different breeds and sizes. Handlers and dogs did amazing, there were some tricky areas to negotiate but you did brilliantly and what skills your dogs have learnt and will be able to adapt anywhere. Well done looking forward to the next one.
