We want to give a huge shout-out to all of YOU!!!
Honestly, from the bottom of our hearts 💕 thank you soooo much for all your kind donations-both to our gift aid and in-clinic 🫶

🌟This is a before-and-after look at our revamp 🌟
Thanks to your generosity, we've been able to get:
• 5 new baby cages with heat lamps 🦔
• 1 new hog cage 🦔
• 2 new mother-and-baby / large hog cages 🦔

🤗 We do our utmost to provide these beautiful creatures with the highest standard of care they deserve, and it's all thanks to YOU and your amazing support 🤗

Little Una spending time in the nebuliser to help her with her breathing. She had a tooth removed at the vets that was growing into her nose🤕 and was brought back from death on the operating table. She wasn't expected to survive, but she's thankfully proved the experts wrong and is a little fighter. We love her! Still not out of the woods yet though! Send your positive vibes her way 💖🦔

PS Our amazing supporters helped raise funds last year, so we could buy a few of these lifesavers! 😍

Super Lad, Button, Benny, Una (fostered/soft release x 8: Mo 2, Raven, Harley, Apollo, Private Georgie, Angel, Norbert, Motty)

Deaths 0: 1 near death, where Una died and was revived in theatre at Medivet Low Fell on Monday (thank you Helen and staff!!) She had a tooth growing into her nose. She wasn't expected to make it but our lovely volunteer Daisy nursed her through the night and she's still with us 🦔💜🤗

Wow! Today we are thrilled to show you our fully refurbished clinic. The video shows the reaction of Sandra (our founder and clinical lead) who was not allowed to play any part in this refurb, and only saw the fabulous results for the first time today. As you can see she was completely overwhelmed 🥰🥰. We are incredibly grateful to all our awesome volunteers who have worked tirelessly to make this happen, with a special shoutout to the lovely Daisy who has worked so hard and has project managed the whole refurb. We also could never have completed this without our amazing supporters, who have helped us with funding. We love you all!!!!

Happy 🦔💜

2nd February, is a fun and educational day dedicated to raising awareness about hedgehogs and their role in the ecosystem.

Hedgehogs are classified as vulnerable to extinction in the UK.

There are things you can do to help hedgehogs in your local area:

🦔 Put out a shallow dish of water
🦔 Put out a dish of dog or cat food (if providing dry food please make sure it's small kibble)
🦔 Make a hedgehog highway hole in your fence so that they have access to move freely around your neighbourhood gaining access to more food
🦔 Build a hedgehog house/nest box, including bedding
🦔 Let corners of your garden grow wild, don't tidy leaves away - hedgehogs use these for bedding
🦔 Drive carefully at night
🦔 Support your local hedgehog rescue
🦔 Contact your local hedgehog rescue if you have found a hedgehog in need.

This little miracle, Ivy has recovered and is back out on her adventures.... released this evening in the new hedgehog house in her finder Shelley's garden... so chuffed for her considering how very poorly she was on admission (Julie 💜🦔) first pic on admission, second, on release 🤗

Benny wouldn't uncurl for us to assess his wounds but a little bath did the trick. This is post wound-clean. We believe it's infection from the awful mange mites. 💜🦔
