My lovely Edith and I were having a fab day doing our favourite thing until we had a minor incident resulting in 6 weeks box rest for me 😭😅
Edith is fighting fit but I on the other hand clearly have someone watching over me to have only walked away with a broken collarbone 🙏

Everyone who is booked to arrive in the next month I will message you all on Monday to reschedule. I thank you all in advance for your patience at this difficult time, unfortunately it happens 😅😭

Biggest thank you to the Hunt staff, the girls at home and Elliot who rallied together to make sure Edith was okay 🫶🏻
Devastated is not the word but I’ll be back in the saddle soon enough 🙏

Hi, my name is Lea Edwards (BSc (Hons), MNAVP, FEI PET) and I’m a fully qualified Equine Veterinary Physiotherapist with nearly 25 years of experience in the horse world! I was born and bred in Germany and moved to the UK about 11 years ago. Basically from one very horsey country to the next 🇩🇪 🐴 🇬🇧

I’m super passionate about my job, horse welfare and the veterinary rehab world. I spend a lot of time trying to improve myself and business for my clients by attending the newest online CPD or face-to-face learning opportunities.

When I’m not working I spend my time with my husband, our 2 little girls (1 and 4 yo) and my whippet and assistant Twiggy 🐾 we also own around 10 ponies we compete ourselves, have bred or continue to train up for our girls. 🐴

I’ve been working as a mobile Equine Physiotherapist for nearly 5 years now and have a lovely, loyal client base but have recently opened my 2025 diary for new clients 🐴

Services I offer as an Equine Physiotherapist

🐴 Full static and dynamic assessment which can include a ridden assessment
🐴 Manual therapy, massage, trigger point release therapy, myofascial release, mobilisation techniques, passive/active stretches
🐴 Electrotherapies I currently offer - H-Wave, LASER Omega Class 3B, NMES, TENS, Thermal Pad, Therapeutic Ultrasound
🐴 Full session report and tailored exercise plan (at no extra cost!) via Equicantis which generally makes life easier for me & you
🐴 Ongoing support, communication with your vet if needed, weekend appointments

I’d say apart from my obvious qualifications and experience my biggest strength is my honesty. Love it or hate it but I refuse to sugarcoat the truth when it comes to your horses. I will always give you my honest opinion and advice and act in the interest of your horse. I’m also a big believer in working with other para-professionals. Always happy to speak to your farrier, chiropractor, osteopath, vet etc. Teamwork really makes the dream work when it comes to horses 🐎

A chilly 🥶 day at home made more interesting with a visit from our rep Karen today.

Diet reviews done for every horse we currently have in, as well as weighing 💪 unfortunately forgot to photograph half of them!
Everyone seems on target, especially double trouble Mac and Baby G who both had their first experience of the weigh bridge today! They love their Lmix!

Looking forward to our next yard visit with Allen and Page to assess the babies who are currently turned away on a break.

Currently we have a range of horses on

Muscle and Focus (those who are in hard work but need extra support building muscle and maintaining weight)
Care and Gain (for our diet sensitive ponies - and horses - who need a little extra)
Fast Fibre (a safe source of fibre based hard feed in mash form for those that don’t need anything extra!)
L mix (for the true fatties who just need the vits and mins - but the foals love it!)

👀4️⃣🆕🏠 on behalf of owner

4yo 12hh (approx) future competition pony.
Would excel in the SJ, WH or show ring.

Mikey arrived as a 3yo and was lightly started - then given time to mature.
He has come back into work this summer exceptionally well and has taken to ridden work like a duck to water!
He is very green but has the best attitude 🙏

He has been SJ, WH and ridden/inhand showing - let the pics of his winnings speak for themselves!
Hasn’t jumped too much under saddle due to age but showing potential loose and over small fences.

Will stand all day grazing at a show, extremely well mannered and loves the kids more than the adults!

Be easy enough for a confident kid to produce up the levels.
No novice family’s please as he is young and can be sensitive. Experience with young horses is essential as he could be a top pony in the right hands!
