Poor Blue in the “if I can’t see it, it’s not happening” position 😂
I’m not putting any pressure on his head, but he chooses to stay here as he thinks it’s the safer option for his groom!

He hates being picked up, and hides as soon as I enter the house 😬
I try to make it less stressful for him by keeping him on the floor.

If you can’t see your rabbits nails and you think they could be really long, send me a message and I can come and have a look for you.

I understand that you may not have realised your bunnies nails have grown so long so fast, it’s not something everyone knows to check for.

Once they’ve had a trim, it’s much easier to keep on top of.

No judgment here if you’ve forgotten for too long. But book in asap so we can make your rabbit comfortable again! 😇

Here's some tips on how to get your rabbit to eat more hay…

🐰 Is the hay good enough? Poor quality hay that’s only suitable for bedding does not make for good eating – so your rabbits will be less likely to consume the amount they need.

🐰 Too many nuggets? While dry food tastes good and ensures your furries are getting all the vitamins and minerals they require, it doesn’t provide the same fibre levels and chewing action they need to keep them in tip top condition. Reducing the amount of nuggets, you provide can help encourage your bunnies to eat more hay.

🐰 Poo and chew! Rabbits generally prefer to munch on hay while they’re resting and they also like to ‘poo and chew’, so put a pile of hay in their favourite resting places and hang a hay rack above their litter tray."

Warm weather also brings the big risk of the dreaded FLYSTRIKE!
A very nasty and usually fatal problem, of flies laying eggs into your rabbits hair, which eat away and burrow into your rabbit causing severe pain.

Speak to your vet to find out about prevention products, aswell as using small holed mesh around enclosures and ensuring toilet areas are cleaned daily!

This can affect indoor and outdoor bunnies!

Checking on your rabbits regularly throughout the day is a must!

While we all enjoy a spot of bun-bathing 🏖 the hot weather can pose many potential hidden dangers, such as higher risk of diseases like flystrike and myxomatosis.

Check out our poster for helpful hints and tips on how to keep your buns cool and protected this Summer 😎🏝🐰

‼️RABBIT FEEDING‼️

Muesli “use” to be the go to rabbit food as there wasn’t much else to buy or much information out there. As times gone on research has shown that this is the worse possible food you could feed your rabbits.

•Rabbits will naturally select the bits they like and leave the rest meaning they will not be getting a balanced diet.

•Feeding muesli leads to serious teeth and tummy issues. Rabbits CANNOT digest some of the contents in muesli (seeds and cereals) and this can lead to gut blockages (GI Stasis) which is DEADLY!

If your rabbits are being fed muesli, it is in their best interest you change them over to a high quality pellet. You must do this over a period of 7-10 days, gradually taking away the muesli and adding in more pellets until there is no more muesli.

DID YOU KNOW❓Pellets are only 5% of a rabbits diet and they only need an egg cup of them per day! We recommend Burgess Excel and Science Selective.
