Hi all!
Ollie was VERY brave today, what a long way we've come! We decided to go for a walk at Goodrich Castle . They allow dogs inside and outside, so we thought we'd try him, see how he liked it.
He had a wonderful time, exploring the castle inside, outside and upstairs. Then eventually settled down at the picnic tables outside. 😍

This little dog still surprises us every day. 🥰
We've started taking him for walks in the park. To get there, we have to walk along a fairly busy road. Once we're there, there are other dogs, people, school kids.
We met a lovely collie called Mabel this morning 🙂
It's lovely, he now actually looks forward to his morning walk! 😭❤️
Christmas pressies definitely going down well! 🤣
The Doggy who was once so terrified of daylight and any noise, now walking off-lead, and here, on a pathway underneath a motorway with lorries thundering overhead ☺️

Today, we were the people walking through the woods, with a dog off the lead, walking beside us and listening to commands. Little sweetheart ❤️🐾

Today we went for a play in the woods. Lots of challenges along the way, the least of which being the hills and mud 😬🤦

It's unusual for Pixie to get so close and be so relaxed. She had always been the suspicious one! 🙂
Since we lost her brother Kelpie last year 💔, she hasn't had anyone to snuggle with - so it's nice to see her starting to get more comfortable around Ollie 🙂

We really hope you're all keeping safe and healthy in these horrible, strange times. Sending lots of love to all of Ollie's supporters.
Ollie is doing really well. It's his Daddy's birthday today, so he's all dressed up. 🎉
We went for a little walk, on a PAVEMENT, in DAYLIGHT, to the LOCAL SHOPS, where there were PEOPLE and CARS! 😁😁
He did amazingly! He was a little panicked at the shops, but it's the first time he's been there in daylight, so he did well!
This is him on his way back down the hill to home! Look how nicely he's walking! We are so proud of him! 🥰

Sometimes we like to test our little doggo.
So tonight,instead of turning left out of our road and heading away from civilisation, we turned right, towards the shops 😱
This is the first time Ollie has ever walked in any sort of 'urban' environment! (It's hardly urban here, but as close as we have!) He's done suburban pavements, but nowhere with shops.
But he did brilliantly! Despite his tail in this photo 🙄 he was very brave, we had a little freak out when a car drove over a manhole, but we diverted down behind the shops and came back out at the top and walked all the way back 😁
He was pretty happy with himself when we came back! Look at his beautiful face 🥰
To celebrate Ollie's 3rd Gotcha day today, I'd like to share one of our Christmas presents with you!
My Dad's cousin made this absolutely incredible 3D paper model! 🥰 She's so talented and we are so grateful to receive such an amazing gift from my parents.
Ollie is so treasured. We have come a long way together. Don't get me wrong, every day still has its challenges, but as he currently sits curled up in the corner snoozing peacefully, we feel so grateful that we were able to give him a safe home and that BCTGB trusted us to be his new family.
He's learned so much in these 3 years, but we think the most important one is that he learned how to wag his tail. 🥰

This evening we thought we would try something new and wander down the road to our local! He walked past lots of traffic and past lots of people! And eventually settled under the table!
He, of course, was a bit panicky and nervous, but he did it all and we are so proud! 😊😍😁
Sorry for the lack of updates! Life is so busy right now!
But at the moment, we are trying to get through this thunderstorm. I've tried sitting the lounge with him, but that didn't go well, so we are now both sitting on the floor in the kitchen.
We are doing okay, he's very frightened and worked up. Keeps panting, so I'm hand feeding him some water.
I hope this storm passes soon! 🤨
Today, for the first time, I took Ollie to work with me! 😊
I'm a freelancer, so it was at a client's house. He met their lovely dog and was a very brave boy! He was a cheeky monkey and found a spot on the stairs (brand new carpet) to curl up and have a nap. 😊
At one point, he and the other doggo started to play 😍

Occasionally we like to do something different, to test our little Bob and see how he reacts to things. We don't push him, but we encourage him to try new things.
Today, we travelled an hour and a half down to Brean, Somerset! Ollie has never been to the seaside, so we wanted to get some fresh air and try it out!
What a wonderful little boy! He got out of the van first time, walked through the car park, past the shop kiosk and down the slip way onto the sand!
There were so many people here today, but wow - what an adventure! We had a couple of tricky moments, but on the whole, a very tired, muddy Ollie is now in the van, on the way home to his bed 😊❤️

Today was booster day for the little chap! He did very well! He walked from the car park into the vet, had a chat with a couple of dogs and behaved really well for our vet! Everything is always a little frantic with Ollie, but very proud of him! 😊❤️

Now that Ollie has started walking on the pavement, he won't go in the garden anymore 😩 but because it's daylight, he won't go for a pavement walk.
So now, I try to let him out for a quick one, he just sits in the corner and cries! 😩
