Skye is reactive to people and guards the house. She particularly dislikes men (and neighbours 🙈) She is very lucky to have an amazing family who work really hard with her and give her everything she needs.
There is still work to do, but after one session (no force, pain or aversives needed!) I would call this a great result! 😍 Happy dogs + happy owners = happy Jackie! 😃🐾

"Just wanted to update you that Tom (son) has had a friend round all day, trying to fix his car, and Skye has been amazing. The odd bark but that’s all, and easily diverted. Just come back from walk and he was on the drive so she got a full view of him and she did a little “humph” so we turned back and tried again. Then she looked at him, then at me for a treat. Repeated a couple of time and then we went inside with no drama. She’s also been remarkably calm (most of the time) about the new neighbours. I don’t know what you did but something definitely shifted after your visit, so thank you!"

AGILITY NINJAS!
We have a new round of this ever popular, sell out class starting from Wednesday 31st July.
(Available as pay per week over the Summer Holidays to accommodate those who have booked breaks away.)

A fun, non-competitive class for pet dogs that provides your dog with both physical and mental stimulation, helps to build confidence and focus, as well as strengthening the relationship between you and your dog.

We will teach a number of skills including jumps, through, send around and on, and transfer these skills to various obstacle courses. We teach a mixture of agility style activities with a bit of rally obedience thrown in for those who just want to have fun with their dog. We do not teach competition agility.

NB this course is not suitable for puppies under one year of age, or dogs who have not had any basic training.

Thank you to Sharon Price at Tannenbaum Glamping and Campsite Derbyshire for asking me to judge their charity dog show again this year for Yappy Ever After Dog Rescue . It was great to have a fun job to do that I could still do with my "manky hand" as Sharon likes to call it 🤣

It's always such an honour to be asked to take part in these events which raise much needed funds for rescue dogs. And with so many well-behaved, lovely natured dogs, and such a great bunch of humans, it was an absolute blast! Lots of fun and laughs. Thank you everyone 🥰

Check out Sharon's mega dog friendly campsite with stunning views, accommodation for every budget (I've got my eye on the horse lorry and hot tub!), and on site bar, cafe and entertainment. Pitches available with enclosed gardens for the pooches. Such a friendly, welcoming place for a relaxing break whatever the weather! 🐶🐾🥂🏕

I just LOVE getting updates from clients, it really makes my day. Especially when they send me videos of them practising their training between sessions 🥰 Here we have TEAM LIBBY! Libby is only 6 months old but has been a challenging pup and Rachel has had to work really hard with her. But the hard work is paying off thanks to their patience, persistence and dedication. Rachel has put into place every little bit of advice we've given to her which makes our job so much easier! Well done Team Libby! We are super proud of you! 🥳🤩❤️

How it all began

I was originally a teacher and Mathematics specialist for 16 years, but after suffering from a chronic illness and feeling disillusioned with the education system I decided it was time for a change. I own two dogs myself and enjoy volunteering for rescue centres and charities. I have also spent the past 6 years on a long journey with my anxious and dog reactive Whippet cross boy. Thrown from pillar to post, given conflicting information, and seeing trainers use aversive methods which ultimately damaged my poor boy further, led me to begin a new journey in the dog world. After trying lots of online courses and weekend in person workshops, I finally saved up to go to Victoria Stilwell's annual UK conference......and my life changed forever! From there, I was inspired to train with her and her academy (VSA) to become a dog trainer. It has been a long and intensive journey but certainly worth the effort. I have met wonderful people, made new friends, been given the best experiences and opportunities, and trained with some of the top trainers in the world. I now want to share my knowledge and skills with you so that you and your dog don't have to go through the same painful, expensive journey that I did. My mission is to offer affordable, good quality, positive and kind dog training and behaviour services. I also want to educate the public about dog body language, in the benefits of positive reward based training, and about the damage that can be done using the alternative, aversive methods.
