🚫 Temporarily Closed 🚫

🎓 As many of you will know, I will be starting my masters degree from next week 🎓

Unfortunately this means that I will be temporarily closed for all bookings from the 23rd September, that being my last working day.

I want to say a huge thank you to all current and previous clients, I am going to miss every one of you, and I hope to see you again in the new year! 🐎🐈🐕🐇

To everyone who has supported me over the past year, I cannot thank you enough!

🐴 Patch 🐴

Patch had a clear aversion to the mounting block 🚫

He would plant himself out of anxiety, even if he was meters away from the mounting block.

This shutdown and planting could be misinterpreted for stubbornness, which would have made patch's anxiety much worse. His response was to avoid the stimulus that caused him fear and anxiety.

The plan to help patch comprised of a few different tactics 🐴

✅ Remove the triggers causing his anxiety, including environment, workload, and management factors.

✅ Praise any forward movement using positive reinforcement.

✅ Remove pressure when the desired outcome is presented.

Patch's issues stemmed from fear and removing triggering factors, and rewarding desired behaviour has resulted in a confident horse who would stand at the mounting block all day! 🦄

Some fun had today doing some agility! 🐾 Dottie and Poppy had their first go at the A-frame! By the end of it they were heading up on their own and leaving me behind! Such clever girls 🥰 Toby of course had to get involved! 🐾🐶
