Eye contact is very important, it means your dogs focus is on you instead of what’s going on around them. It makes communication so much easier!
We were passing another dog at the time so I wanted Ozzy’s attention fully on me as he can get a little excited and jump around. With the aid of his favourite treats, I kept his focus and a loose lead. As you can see he was glued to my side the whole time.
I have been walking Ozzy for about a year now.
During this time we have been working on loose lead training and he has come on leaps and bounds. Ozzy has mastered all his commands but can still get distracted and excited 😆
As I know Ozzy so well, I can tell by his body language and triggers when he is going to react, so I always try and stay one step ahead to ensure Ozzy & I always have the best walk 🖤🐾
