Ampthill and Flitwick Pets. Lost, Found and Stolen

Hi my names Chris, I work for Network Rail, unfortunately I found a dead cat today on the railway at Flitwick, it was a black cat with white on its underside, it was weather worn and had some damage, as you might expect.
To give an idea of its location, the nearest public road is Ashton Gate towards the north side of Flitwick.

Pets are more likely to be reunited with their owners if they are microchipped. The RSPCA have a free microchipping event in January for all cats, dogs and rabbits that haven't been chipped yet.

Friday Fact: As of 10 June 2024 all cats must be microchipped. That's the law.

Cats must be microchipped before 20 weeks with all contact details up-to-date on a microchipping database. Owners found not to have their cats chipped will have 21 days to have one implanted or face a fine.

The RSPCA Bedfordshire South Branch are offering FREE microchipping 27 January for cats, dogs (compulsory chipping law. came into effect 6 April 2016) and rabbits.

We have sadly had a deceased dog handed into us. Found in a layby off the B658 - bypass between G&M Growers towards Shefford.
Female, Dutch Shepherd Dog. 7 years old. No collar. Microchipped, registered to a Birmingham address but no correct numbers.

Be responsible owners: never give your pets away for free unless it is to a verified rescue. If you sell directly do a home / background check and don't believe everything that you "see". Also please never leave your pets unattended.
If you don't know why, this info will give you one of the reasons.
