In a complete state now 😂
1 more week left until our beautiful Dex and Daisy head off to their forever home after being in our care for 6 months!!
So say that we love them is an understatement.
So glad we could give them the most loving foster home whilst they grew stronger and fought off the most horrible illnesses.
We have treasured every moment with them and there will be a huge hole in our hearts ❤️
Remember our fosters Baby and Bumble from last year?
Well their amazing mum runs an amazing Business, Dried Delights!
Everything is hand picked and made my Lorna and she puts so much care into EVERY package!
I ordered a couple of items for each pair and Lorna added in some extra goodies for them! 🥰
Our 6 residents 100% approve of their Sunday Evening Enrichment!
Thank you Auntie Lorna, love Bambi, Ermey, Dylan, KiKi, Roo & Bugsy 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰

Remember Georgey boy?
We urgently took him and his brother Malcolm in a few months ago and fostered them for the Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary
Well George is bonded and in his new home ❤️
I love love love getting updates on our previous fosters.
Malcolm is still waiting for his forever home to come along ☹️ hoping a family comes along very soon to offer him a home like this!

✨ My Loppies ✨
Before I became a bunny owner, I was totally in love with how lops looked!
The more and more I’ve educated myself over the last 6 years, the more I’ve learnt about the many health problems that can come with a Mini Lop and Dwarf Lop
Ear Infections
Because of the crease in the ear where the ear lops, there is no route for any liquid to drain out of the ear. This means lop eared rabbits are prone to ear infections which are not visible to the human eye. The infection can spread and can cause major problems for them. Sometimes irreversible. At every vet check up, we always ensure the vet checks inside their ears for any gunk or signs of infection. We use a prescribed ear wash for ours as they tend to get very gunky ears.
Brachycephalic
Lops have been bred to have short squishy faces however this causes some major health problems for rabbit’s. They are prone to breathing problems as they cannot take in as much oxygen when breathing. They can get respiratory issues which can lead to stress and they can die from this.
Dental Problems
So many breeds of rabbits have been bred to have smaller skulls. This can cause extreme dental issues such as malocclusions. Rabbit teeth constantly grow which, in a rabbit that has been bred to have a small skull, does not work.
Grooming
A lot of lops have a crazy amount of floof which especially in the summer, can be extremely dangerous with the heat. The moulting hair will also be ingested from grooming. This can cause blockages and can cause gut stasis.
I love my Lops but I’m fully aware of the potential issues. They have become such a popular rabbit which means they are being bred non stop for money making butt heads to get some extra cash.
Please do your research before adopting a rabbit, and please do not buy a rabbit from a breeder. There are THOUSANDS of rabbits in rescue who need loving homes.
The more people stop buying from breeders, the lesser the demand. 🐰
When the neighbours do the annual apple tree trim and donate a load of apple wood branches to the babies 🤤🍎
Brian was born in our care along with 5 others 4 years ago! We named all the babies after The Magic Roundabout Characters ❤️
We actually adopted the mum, Bambi and 2 of his brothers, Ermey (Ermentrude) and Dylan.
They are SOOOO alike!!
They are such strong characters like their mum and are so funny to watch.
✨ENRICHMENT IDEA✨
- Cardboard Box (The sturdier box the better)
- Scissors
Cut a door big enough for the buns to fit through.
Cut little window holes around the box for them to poke their noses through and chew.
Give to your buns for hours of entertainment.
They will chew the box, make the holes bigger and destroy it!
Resident buns Bugsy and Roo love their box 😍
Brian Update!
We took him for a vet check up yesterday as he still isn’t 100% with his eating.
Due to the amount of pin worms we have come across so far, it seems this has been left without treatment for a very long time.
This has most likely caused a lot of damage in his body including inflammation which is causing discomfort.
We are treating him for everything and doing small critical care feeds throughout the day as he’s not eating enough at the moment.
This boy has a long journey ahead of him but we’ve got him ❤️
We need to order some pro-biotics for him so if you’re able to help we would appreciate it!

Devastated.
Letting your rabbit get this overweight is neglect.
He also has pin worms in his poos and around his rear end.
I just can’t believe it.
My Bestie Always ❤️
We have a bunny joining us later on today and we are extremely upset about this one. 🙁
I’ll update you all later!
For now, enjoy this cute video of my Boy 🥹
My Angel Boy Malc ❤️
One of the kindest and most gentle rabbits we have ever met along with his Brother.
Loves his fooood 🐰
Last night this little sausage gave us a scare 😂
He escaped out of one of the bedroom windows (he is not allowed outdoors)
Luckily he only made it to next doors front garden hiding in a bush petrified!
A huge thank you to our neighbours who helped us hunt him down.
Thank you for that Dexter 🙌🏼
**Help Needed**
We have been a little quiet, sorry!
We are still here.
Between work, the gym and all of the animals, it’s taking up a lot of our time.
We are very burnt out at the moment.
As you can see, it doesn’t impact the babies as we still give them everything they need and a loving foster home ❤️
We are finally out of Hay for the boys and they are still refusing to eat anything else but Canadian Hay from Just4rabbits😂
This will be our last post asking for donations now.
You have all been so amazing and supportive of us whilst we do the hands on work with the animals. We cannot thank you enough for your support.
If you’re able to donate, we would really appreciate it.
As you know we are fostering George and Malc for the Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary
Any money left over after buying the hay will be donated to the OAS who have been a huge part of our journey.

Good morning from Dexter 💛
I don’t ever want to ever hear a home tell me rabbits are boring and have no personalities 😂😂
They have so much character and every bun has their own funny personalities!
George is a pampered prince! 👑
A huge thank you to Helen who just dropped lots of toys and goodies for Malc and George ❤️
We are so grateful for everyone who has supported these amazing boys who we are fostering for the Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary
Guess who’s happier now he’s king of the bedroom!
Tomorrow is the last day of the anti-biotics for both boys 🎉
Everything is crossed that this is the last hurdle 🤞🏼
1st delivery of toys for the boys is here.
George approves so far. ✔️
Tomorrow we have a big order from Just4rabbits coming in and I’m super excited 🎉
Snacks with Malc!
Thank you to everyone who donated last night. We have been able to buy the boys some new toys to hopefully cheer them up.
I hate seeing them so sad. It’s heartbreaking.
We have never had such lonely and sensitive buns in our 5 and a 1/2 years of fostering 😭
Praying a home comes along for them both soon ❤️
Pretty sure George just wanted bedroom privileges 😂
We hope you’re all ok! ❤️
The boys are sooo lonely 😩
Every rabbit needs atleast 1 bonded friend, preferably of the opposite sex. All rabbit’s must be neutered/spayed.
Rabbits are extremely sociable animals. As humans, we cannot give our buns the attention they need. Bunny’s need Bunny’s!!
We try our best to give all of our bunnies as much attention and love as we can but we cannot be with them 24/7.
Our boys are both waiting patiently for a lovely girly friend to come along.
Malc and George are sooo special ❤️

George is doing sooooooo much better!
He definitely loves having the bedroom privileges 😂 👑
Spending some time with Georgey ❤️
Out in the rain with the buns!! 🌧
