Update on Oakley 15th December 2020
So Oakley has a condition called :- megaesophagus
His throat in like a big deflated balloon, like a baggy sack, instead of a tight strong muscular tube.
Oakley had his stitches out yesterday & vet still not happy with him. He is constantly coughing, gagging & regurgitating his food & has lost another kilo.
On Thursday he’s having a procedure done fluoroscopy, where they will feed him food that has been dyed & X-rays will be done to watch to see if it is making it to the stomach.
These findings will determine his life expectancy 🤞🏻

I’m literally over the moon. & a little scared.

UPDATE ON OAKLEY 3rd DECEMBER 2020
Visited Oakley tonight at 4.30pm , he was over the moon to see us, happiest he’s been since before this happened. Today they stopped his injected medicine & have started to give it to him Orally, if he can prove that he can take his medication with sicking it back up, then tomorrow they plan to take the tube out his tummy. If that goes well too , he can come home by the weekend 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
