Here at Mad Mutz we care about our clients, our Ethos is about providing a service, the service that our clients ask for :-)

Lo and behold - we listened and in the next few days we will be in a position to provide toilet facilities :-) Sadly this means a small increase in costs which we dont want to do but we will increase our time slots from 40mins to 50mins to 'soften the blow' and give you all more time for dogs to zoom.

Ps there will only be one Portaloo 😂😂😂

We have lovely fresh free range eggs available daily in the 'Egg cupboard/winechiller' opposite the entrance.£2 per box. There is an honesty box but for those with no cash paypal [email protected].

These lovely chooks have all come from 'battery farming', some in seriously bad condition and verging on 'oven ready' but will live out their lives at Windyhill free ranging and being cared for. All egg funds go towards giving these ladies the best diet possible who in turn are good enough to produce amazing eggs :-)

Due to no fault of his own 6 month old Brodie ( Viz x Braque du Bourbonnais) is urgently looking for a loving active family home with experience. He is highly intelligent and a fast and eager learner. 100% with children and other dogs. He is ideally suited to a home who enjoy outdoor pursuits.

We have very limited availability of pork boxes - organically reared and free-range ( very free range, more free roaming 😂)and prepared by Ramsays of Carluke. Approx 11.5 kg of joints, chops, bacon and sausages. For more info on this or individual items please PM us.

Many dog parks throughout the UK are currently closed due to the bad weather and horrendous mud in order to preserve the park surface. We have given massive thought to this issue and are choosing to stay open, for time being at any rate, as we know that our clients depend on the 'secure' aspect of Madmutz for their doggies. However we are looking at options to make the surface around the entrance and shelter more user-friendly in bad weather conditions and these will be implemented asap. Meanwhile, please bear with us and make sure you wear appropriate footwear.

The weather is cold and mucky and the temptation to hide in the shelter while your dogs zoom is mega. However the ' Poo Fairy' feels the cold also so please feel sorry for her and pick up your poo and don't leave it for others. It is only too easy to 'lose a poo', we all do it but if we pick up what we see it keeps the park clean for everyone :-)
In this weather the seating gets very damp so please bring something suitable to sit on - our 'poo bags' are of the highest quality and expensive but not provided for seat covers !!

One of our neighbours at Madmutz has lost their much loved kitty, last sighting was end September. This a fluffy, male version of our resident barn cat 'Puss Puss' who is def not fluffy and quite shy - that info is to avoid confusion !
Should you see this cat in the area please contact Madmutz in the first instance as owner is desperately worried about her boy especially in this cold weather

A very cold day today at Madmutz -5deg :-( Boston and Bree sported their fleeces and zoomed regardless :-)

Everything was frozen this morning but our 'Winter Kit' in the egg cupboard is available to sort that. De-icer, paper towel and disposable gloves which we respectfully ask that you dispose of in the poo bin.
The water butt was frozen but thawed fairly fast in the sunshine but if you have a thirsty dog and temps are minus, then I would suggest bringing bottled water as this is one issue we are unable to fix :-(

Sadly Winter is upon us bringing mud and frozen conditions but doggies still need to get out and zooming.
Should you find that the Dog Park padlock is frozen, you will find de-icer, paper towel and disposable gloves in the 'egg cupboard' opposite the gate. Please dispose of towel and gloves in the Poo bin. Our water dispenser may be frozen so should the temps be minus, then I would advise bringing bottled water for your dog.

Meanwhile we have a selection of pre-loved dog coats, 'slow feeders' and some other items at bargain prices and we will add pics in the coming days. If interested please get in touch for more info.

It may not feel that we will ever get a Summer but here at Madmutz we live in hope. The recession is hitting everyone and we can't have our doggies missing out, as a result we are having a half-price month for May so your 40 min sessions will only cost £3.

All clients who have pre-booked slots in May will get an appropriate refund :-)

The new picnic table is already proving a success with clients ( my dogs dont count as they are biased😂)
This now provides 3 areas of seating to suit all weathers.

Spring has definitely arrived at Madmutz with our first grass-cut of the year. It was getting a bit over-due but thanks to John Kerr it will be kept under control over the next few months😍

We are now able to offer, once again, lovely free-range eggs thanks to our flock of rescue chooks.
These ladies were incarcerated in mass production evironments - their lives were destined to be short and very bleak and heading for slaughter:-( Soft-hearted idiots like me step in and give them a 2nd chance and what a win/win situation that is. Some of these ladies arrived looking 'oven-ready' due to fights caused by overcrowding but the pleasure I get watching them come back to health and then seeing them realising that they can actually roam-free is immeasurable.
While in the dog-park you will see these girls wandering around and doing what chickens should be doing. In addition to free-ranging they are fed the best organic grains and veg - they will kill for a lettuce 😂and in return produce the most wonderful eggs :-)
Our new Egg 'cupboard', sited in the same spot outside the dog-park gate, is a retired wine-cooler which will keep the eggs in a more even temperature :-)

Sadly a little bit of active vandalism overnight on one of our banners but the police will be checking our CCTV footage and are already convinced that it is the same person who stole the road signs.
Who would think a close community like Elsrickle would be home to such a small-minded individual ? So much for helping each other and watching each others backs :-(
However Mad Mutz is thriving, just they way we want it, with or without roads signs or banners 😃

We would like to wish all our lovely customers a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful 2023.
We are fully open throughout the festive season and look forward to seeing you all as you and your doggies blow away the cobwebs after the turkey and mince pies 😂
Hopefully we won't have another frozen water issue but if the temps drop below - 2deg please bring a bottle with you for your dogs ( and a flask of hot drink for yourself 😂)
