We love seeing our microgreens used in people's everyday diet!

This image was sent in by who's enjoying a late night omelette with fried bacon and green onions, topped with avocado, cherry tomatoes and a microgreen mix (red garnet amaranth, kohlrabi, red cabbage, and broccoli)

That will surely put a spring in their step!

Did you know that globally, around 14% of food produced is lost between harvest and retail? Significant quantities are also wasted in retail and at the consumption level.

Reducing food losses and waste is essential in a world where the number of people affected by hunger has been slowly on the rise since 2014, and tons and tons of edible food are lost and/or wasted every day. Food loss and waste also puts unnecessary pressure on the natural resource base and on the environment, depleting the natural resource base and generating greenhouse gases.

We believe Controlled Environment Agriculture, vertical farming and local production is one of the many ways we can limit waste and loss and contribute to a healthier society!

Every harvest has it's surprises, but this one took the cake with another first - a tri-cotyledoned sunflower!

Looks gorgeous and we wish we would have caught it still in the tray to grow it to maturity and see what other surprises it had in store!
