My morning walk took me along the river path in Chatelherault. Not far from the stairs at the bottom of the Huntsman trail if you turn left the dogs went into the trees. A minute later they came running out acting very strangely, I realised they were being chased by wasps. Each dog was stung, thankfully two of the three were retrievers with longer coats but the poor Viszla was stung at least 3 times. Thankfully I always carry my first aid kit so I was able to remove the stings I could see using my old Ikea card. I also had piriton at the ready. I'm happy to say the dogs are okay. I'm also so glad that I've taken courses in canine first aid and knew what to do and what to look out for post-sting. I know I would have panicked otherwise.
Hopefully tomorrow's walks will be a little less dramatic. πŸ’–πŸΆπŸ©πŸ•πŸ’–

You may be wondering why I haven't been posting photos of my doggy clients for a while.

I have taken the decision, as this is a public page, to keep the dogs safe and not show them in the locations I walk. There are too many unscrupulous people around at the moment scrolling social media as a means to steal dogs.

Yes, this means I may not have a fancy page showing dogs having fun but that is not why I became a dog walker. The safety of my doggy clients will always be my top priority over pushing for more business.

Well, today has not been a good day. Checked my piggy girls this morning only to find blood pouring out of little Emerald's nose. Rushed her to emergency vet but she didn't make it. Have no idea what happened. From 4 piggies a month ago and now down to 2.
Emerald was the noisiest girl around. Always looking for food and popcorning when it arrived. She was sweet and funny. A total shock to have her leave us at only 2 years.
Gone to eat dandelions with Jess in heaven. We love and miss you both. πŸ’”πŸΉπŸΉπŸ’”πŸ˜’

Delighted to have this absolute cracker of a pup to walk. He's a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier . This breed is on the Kennel Club's vulnerable breed list. We have so many wonderful breeds native to Britain and Ireland that are at risk. It's scary to think that we may no longer see the dogs we grew up knowing vanish.

Had to say goodbye to our little Jess today ( in the foreground). She was a brilliant little piggie full of character and super sweet. The other girls are so much quieter than usual. She was put in the enclosure for a while so they could get an understanding of what has happened. We are pretty heartbroken.
