The Equestrian Matrix
It’s taken a week to recover but we can now tell you all about our incredible week at Horsemanship Showcase - The Horsemanship Event of The Year last weekend. Holly and I took 4 horses for both daytime clinics and our evening performances in the new show “Now that’s what I call horses”. We had the seasoned pro’s Sparty and Leia and then first timers Pinzon and Bodhi. Super greatful for Heartbreaker Dressage Horses for trusting me to take him to the event to give a demo on him and let him experience to r atmosphere. Zoe must have thought I was taking the fancy dressage horse to join the circus! Bodhi and Pinzon were our 2 demonstration horses, on the Saturday showing how we prepare horses at the start of their educatioln. On the Sunday we did a series of groundwork and pole exercises to help show and explain how to improve our horse physically to give a different outlet on improving our horses from training methods. It was also an incredible honour to ride in a public masterclass on Sparty with Alizee Froment. She has an amazing wealth of knowledge and beautiful way with the horses. Sparty and Leia were our show stoppers putting all their experience into allowing us to pull off some super slick work in the show. We rehearsed from Tuesday to Friday night to make the Saturday evening show as slick as possible and the horses couldn’t have given us more. Pinzon even stepped in under the music and lights in one rehearsal doing garrocha for the first time showing just how calm and great a temperament he has. In the show we had our matrix scene with the horses head to toe in LED with the garrochas lit up too, from this Leia had a long reining section in Galdiator, Leia then went side saddle with holly for moulin rouge in a long dress whilst I did our fastest ever fire garrocha piece in Horsemanship Hub - Horsemanship Showcaseest of the crew to to a 6 horseNikki Caded Ken carousel!
Massive thank you to Larisa and Horsemanship Hub - HPine Lodge School of Classica
Fire Garrocha
Throwback to the summer All-Steps Formation Riding Gala where Holly and I did our signature fire garrocha pas de deux. Sparty and Leia are getting so confident with that number now they’re happy to spin under the fire and can do as many moves with the fire as without! Video credit Mark from Emerald Motion Media
New announcement!!
Excited to announce our brand new partnership with BLISS OF LONDON - Saddle makers of distinction 💙 We have loved the bliss saddles on our Iberians for years and now the huge warmblood has one too! Designed exactly how I wanted it with the help of Express Equine and Heartbreaker Dressage Horses to make sure it’s perfect for Bodhi and dressage! A full YouTube video is out later this week on my channel to get the full announcement!
Super fast saddle reflock!
Have you ever seen a saddle reflocked?! It took all of about 10 minutes. Here’s a super fast version of the process. Today I took my saddle in Express Equine and Sophie put some new flocking in and voila it was done. Always get your saddle checked whether flocked or on an air system as it could be prohibiting your horse improving!
Bodhi’s first ever clip!
Bodhi has just had his first ever clip in preparation for our debut dressage outing this weekend! Good idea or bad idea leaving the first clip until a a couple of days before??? Thanks Heartbreaker Dressage Horses for the opportunity to ride this wonderful horse and for clipping him
New sponsors - Express Equine!
Looking forward to giving this new heatsense massage pad a try from Equilibrium Products aswell as some new stretch and flex boots.
Who wants to learn how to fall of safely to build your confidence? One thing we worry about as riders is falling off, because as humans we are often scared of the unknown and usually because it’s an unpleasant experience and can cause serious injuries which mean we can’t work, look after our kids and so on…
Usually because we worry about the ‘what if I fall off’ & ‘what if I hurt myself’ we play out a scenario in our brain which causes us to be less focused on the horse which means we give them less instruction thus increasing the probability of them putting us in a situation we are more likely to fall from.
Do you want to change that worry about falling and injuries?
If so then this course is designed for you! We work through the theory of why we feel how we do which is important to understand in order to get control of our feelings and ride how we want to ride! Not only do we learn the theory and techniques to help us improve but we also practice the technique of falling like seen in the video featuring Hannah Francis and Alana Clarke! You don’t have to be a nervous rider to learn the techniques, it’s useful for all riders as if you ride horses you have to expect to fall off and have a plan!
Make the most of our Easter offer and kickstart your riding for the year ahead!

It’s time to announce our eagerly anticipated Working Equitation Cattle Camp of 2024 ‼️
Date: 20 & 21 July
Location: Sudbrooke Park Cattle Company, Lincolnshire
Cost: £335
As some of you will know Working Equitation is a 4 phase discipline but quite often you only see 3 phases; Dressage, Obstacles and Speed but the 4th one is a team Cattle Penning phase and is the best one! The combination of all the phases is designed to create the best farm horse that is versatile and can do all the phases. On this camp we only train the speed round and the cattle phase but don’t worry you can work at the pace you want. In previous years this camp has been attended by horse and rider combinations of all levels, some new to working equitation and some having never seen cattle before but it gives an opportunity to have a controlled introduction to the cows and making it fun and great education for the horse. Working round the obstacles and the cows is a brilliant test of how exact your aids are! You DONT need western tack to do this camp. We do it in our dressage saddles!!! This camp is open to any ridden horse with any kind of tack.
So whether you are completely new to working equitation or cattle work or want to improve your skills come and be a cowboy for the weekend!
Horses will be stabled with hay and straw costs included in the price.
This camp is self catered. Hook up included.
To book please email [email protected]
