As most of you know, we started this because we had a very sick Eclectus (Rosie) and we were trying everything to help her. If you don't know, Eclectus parrots have a very specific and tricky diet. The vets were unable to diagnose her condition and we lost her on the 11th May 2020.
Since then we have Saffron and we want to ensure she eats healthy food. We choose not to feed her on pellets but a fresh food diet. Two years ago, we created our own blends as her treats as we couldn't find anything on the market that we were happy to give her. We use organic ingredients where possible. As a result of this we decided to start selling our own hand blends in small batch mixes, hoping many Eclectus (and other parrots) will also benefit. Our blends are peanut and sunflower free and our Budgie smugglers blend is millet free. We never store our stock in large bins.
We try to use ingredients that have documented benefits to our parrots based on current reading. We are not vets and we don't make any medical claims at all but we are always learning and I have been allowed to attend some vet lectures to learn more on parrot nutrition.
