FOUND - Does anyone recognise this cat found in GU2 4LR? It looks very old and has open wounds on both ears. It doesn't like the enquirer to get too close but will sit outside their cat flap whilst they are in the kitchen and then as soon as they leave the room it comes in to eat - it always seems very hungry.

FOUND - Wood Street GU3 3EE. A little black cat (male) has been visiting the enquirer's garden/house. He has not been neutered but is quite friendly - he has never bitten or scratched so it is believed at some point he has had a home and is not feral.

He is estimated to be about 2 years old - despite his apparent young age he seems quite battle scarred, with numerous cuts and scratches over his body but most round his neck.

The enquirer has already taken him to the vets and they confirmed he is not microchipped and no one in the neighbourhood knows who he belongs to.

The enquirer is concerned his general condition is declining despite her efforts to help him, and she is unable to keep him because she is moving house. Our welfare officer will be going out to take him in to Cats Protection, but we are posting in the hopes the owner might see this post. Please be in contact with any information.

FOUND - This kitten suspected to be less than 3 months old was found just over a week ago on Grange Road near Henderson Avenue (GU2). They have no chip or collar and were very hungry and felt underweight. The enquirer is currently taking care of the kitten but please be in touch with any information about the owner.

Hello lovely people of Godalming and Guildford.

We are desperately looking for storage solutions to keep litter, food, cat carriers, and other bits for our charity.

Ideally someone with a garage space, or an outbuilding or shed that may be able to be utilised for storing some of these items.

Our welfare officer or branch team leader will be picking these items as and when they need it so will need access (with notice and permission from the owner) to the storage space.

Please do get in touch with Daisy at [email protected] if you think you may be able to help!

Thank you in advance!

Lost & Found - what we do...

The Guildford & Godalming Branch of Cats Protection was formed about 20 years ago and has continued to flourish ever since. Except for a very small discretionary grant from HQ at the beginning of every year, the Branch is completely self-funded. We are totally responsible for raising the funds necessary to carry out the invaluable work required in this area. Our essential staff are volunteers and care deeply about cat welfare and health. Keeping your cat up to date with its vaccinations and microchipping are key to your cats welfare and safety. We help cats and kittens in all manner of situations and the help from members of the public is invaluable.

Cats sometimes lose their way, wander too far or find themselves in situations they don't know how to get out of. We are here to help reunite cats and their owners and if necessary find new loving homes for our feline friends. They give us so much that they deserve a safe, loving and warm home.
