The traditional meaning of Halloween was to honour our ancestors and departed friends. Halloween - all hallows Eve - is fabled to be the night when the veil between the living and dead is at it's thinnest. So as we are approaching the time when the veil is lifted we would love you to share your pictures of beloved pets that have left us in body but not in spirit. Let's celebrate their lives and remember why we loved them so much. If you would also like to tell us a little about them along with your pictures you are most welcome. All we ask is a small fee of £1 made payable to [email protected] friends and family, and we will publish your fond memories online. You're pound will go towards the care of the many dogs we have in our care.

My family got me & my bro new fleecy jumpers in case it’s mega cold again 🥶🥶
It’s that time of year when we are asking to help donate towards my medication for rare medical condition diabetes insipidous - I take 3 tablets a day to keep me alive 💊💊💊

Little update: my meds for diabetes insipidous are due so please donate if you can 🙏
Mum can’t believe how much I’ve changed - even from a year ago - I’m so zen & happy
My fav things to do are stretch out on the bed (for hours!) with my 🍆🍆out, long walks & playing tug of war with my family 🥎🪢 dig deep, peace out, Loki

Hello friends & happy summer 🌞🌞
I’ve been quiet as mum had a much needed break but dad looked after me & my fur bro Peanut very well 👱‍♂️🐶🐶
💦💦My family had to keep a special eye on me in the heatwaves as I drank more & lost a lot of water from my body but mum says I did very well on my medication, with only a few little accidents
I’m going for a check up soon of my sodium levels after all this sun ☀️🌞
