We have fitted some solar powered lights around the entrance and the exit of the field today. Hopefully they will be of some use to those of you who use the field in the dark mornings and the dark evenings!

Hello everyone!

Just to let you know, we have added some wood chippings around the heavily trafficked areas coming into and out of the field. This is just to try and save those bits from being really wet and slippery.

Thank you to you all for your continued support with the field! As another reminder, please be considerate to other users when it comes to picking up your dog’s mess. There are some really brilliant people that help us out by picking up other users mess but it is not fair for them to have to do so. Please respect the field and the other users.

Good morning everybody!! 🐾☀️

We hope you and your pooches are keeping well. At long last, our website has allowed us to add the facility for you to make multiple bookings in one transaction. We have been asked so many times if it can be added to the website in order to save the continual logging back in. From a quick play around on the website, it is as simple as adding a booking to your cart and adding another booking straight away.

So.....get booking!

The weather is set to be a bit more settled this week with no temperatures over 23 degrees! Perfect dog walking weather 🐶🐾

Good afternoon all!

Our website seems to be having a few issues with the ‘Book Now’ button. Sadly there isn’t a quick fix and I can only apologise. The website is hosted by a third party so it will be a functionality issue.

Some bookings are working and others aren’t. Keep trying regardless but again, we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Good morning everyone! ☀️☀️

We hope you are all well! There have been a few emails asking about the water level in the pond getting so low and whether anything can be done. Sadly, no matter how many rain dances we do, the pond will not fill up for what looks like a couple of weeks at the minimum. This will mean that our fluffy friends will get muddier than usual and it would probably be a good idea to bring a towel just incase. It may be a wise idea to bring some water for your doggies to drink too.

With the grass being so dry at the field, please be very cautious about smoking and how you dispose of your cigarette butts. There have been a few scattered around the field, which is a little irresponsible given the drier grass and the chance for any other dogs likely to try and eat them.

Other than the above points, please enjoy the field safely and responsibly.

👋🏼 Good morning everyone! 👋🏼

We hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine ☀️☀️

It’s been a while since we last posted on here but we have had a few messages regarding some owners not picking up after their doggies and that is not fair to other users. So to help with this a little bit, we have added a second dog waste bin and there is no excuse for anybody not using them! Please pick up your doggy’s 💩 and use both bins!

On a side note, I just want to reinforce the importance of arriving no more than five minutes before your slot and remaining with your dog inside your car until the other user is back in their car safely with their dog. Not every owner or dog is completely comfortable around others and it can really take the enjoyment out of a private walk at Tom and Ted’s!

Ted and I had a fresh and frosty walk down at the field earlier this morning for a bit of routine maintenance. After a wet few weeks, the field has a little bit of standing water in places but nothing too drastic.

Thank you so, so much for the kind words, the support and the loyal customers who have made the dog field what it is. A year ago we could have never imagined how busy we would be but it is amazing and so lovely to see you and all of your furries at the field. We have had over 3000 bookings in just one year. We have had the privilege of meeting some lovely people and their gorgeous dogs. To offer somewhere for your dogs to run and be free is our pleasure and it is entirely wholesome when we are sent your pictures and videos. Dogs are simply the best!!

After a celebratory few beers, Ted is currently too drunk to type but he wants to say thank you to everyone.

On a personal note - thank you to everybody who has helped along the way. To our family, friends and dog owners - thank you!! We look forward to having you back!

This is a very important reminder to all of our field users to stay in your car until the user before you has got their dogs and themselves safely back in their car. This isn't the first time that we have had to ask. The field is used by varying people and dogs and we ask that you respect everybody else using the field. If you arrive early then please just wait in your car.

Good evening everyone! 👋🏼

Apologies for being a little quiet lately, we both hope you are all well and enjoying the easing of lockdown!

We have finally managed to get round to cutting the grass down at the field and it’s fair to say - it was well overdue a haircut!

Here is young Will from the farm mowing the grass and finding all your lost balls! I can’t promise they are usable once they have seen a mower!!

Please be careful with your beautiful dogs in the hotter weather and although it is lovely to see them running around, we would rather know that they aren’t over heating and are completely safe and healthy.
