Super morning of trailing in Congleton!!

Team Buddy and Team Tarka are working towards assessments so we practiced some multi direction starts with lots of junctions!

Team Lexi was back for her second session although you’d be forgiven for thinking she was a seasoned pro!

Gorgeous Team Ella joined us and did their first pet trail coping with junctions and distractions with ease!!

We have sessions which are suitable for all levels and absolute beginners are welcome - we’ll teach you everything you need to know. We also welcome our more sensitive and/or reactive dogs and if the human end of the lead needs any adjustments we can accommodate these as well.

We had a bespoke session yesterday evening with the wonderful Team Heidi, Team Freya, Team Rhu and Team Leif!!!

Trails galore and the dogs were very thorough checking every drain, hedge, manhole…they must have heard of all the weird places we hide people 😂

Great evening with great teams, although we missed Team Billy but look forward to seeing you all again in 2025!!

Fantastic Prestbury trails this morning with Team Ben, Team Dash, Team Tassie, Team Olive, Team Rico and introducing…Team Maisie!!!!

Phew! What a busy session and some amazing trails including Olive figuring out her multi directional start with an added false start trail just to make this complicated!!

Lost people and lost dogs were all located and it was lovely to have affiliated instructor Sara from Hounds Haven with us and The Canine School of Trailing cofounder Rachel from Nose To Trail

We wanted to give a shout out today to another local business we regularly use!!

Maria and Opal (otherwise known as Team Opal) are Oscar Pet Foods

We love using the ProJoint chews to help Jem’s little joints develop strong and also to support Scouts luxating kneecaps! We also use the Peaceful Moments, rich in L-tryptophan, as a treat for the dogs when we leave and the pups absolutely love the Chicken Liver Training Treats!!!

Well the storm may be stopping us trail this morning but yesterday we headed to Wilmslow for trailing fun!!

Team Mani, Team Scout, Team Diva and Team Jimmy joined us for trailing antics!

Team Mani got down to business figuring out some difficult junctions, gates and roads!

Team Diva overcame distractions and focused on the job at hand making sure no one stayed lost for long.

Team Scout was sure and steady, processing the environment but they nailed every single junction precisely!

Team Jimmy quickly remembered the game and found his lost person and dog with no worries at all - great to have you back.

Jem and I have had a pawsome time at the Woofingtons - Bollington open evening even if I did have to own up to Jem’s shoplifting antics….not that I mind really given the treats are healthy and great quality.

Carolyn Thorpe and her team are so welcoming and knowledgeable, it’s great to see a local business that’s passionate about pet health and genuinely puts the community first.

SATURDAY SESSION CANCELLED

Unfortunately, due to the severe weather conditions forecasted for Saturday 7 December, including heavy rain, storm activity and wind gusts of up to 70kph, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the trailing session in Bollington at 10:00.

The safety of both humans and dogs is our top priority and these conditions could create hazardous travel and training environments. In addition, the Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team has asked that people avoid unnecessary travel over the weekend.

If you were due to attend you’ll have an email with further details.

Back in Congleton this morning for more lovely trails!!

Team Ellie, Team Cassie and Team Tally dealt with multi direction starts, junctions, road crossings, back tracks, loops and moving targets!! On top of that we had distractions galore which all the dogs (eventually) ignored to complete their trails.
