Who are we ?....

Our home near the Devon/Cornwall border offers a purpose-built 6 box yard for Equine Rehabilitation Rest and Retirement. Surrounded by its own 45 acres of land, provides a perfectly tranquil yard for the rehabilitating or resting equine. We are very private but easily accessible. Providing a number of treatment options for either inpatients or day visitors. We cater for horses requiring a bespoke treatment program.

Elite Equine Rest & Retirement is run by Jess Crocker with the support of her husband and son Harvey. Jess has spent her life working with horses, with 25 years experience in running yards for Racehorses, Eventers and Hunters and most recently producing young horses for Eventing.

Her passion has always been to provide the highest standard of stable management with around the clock care to ensure that any horses in her care are as fit and well as they can be at all times. Burscott Farm is the family home and as such allows Jess to provide home from home care to ensure the highest standard of attention for every horse we have to stay.

Our facilities include
- 6 large open fronted boxes 15’ x 12’ with the box rested horse in mind. Providing ample natural light and fresh air so that the patient doesn’t feel isolated or claustrophobic. All are fully rubber matted, with fresh water drinkers. All equipped with individual CCTV
- Hot wash bay with Solarium.
- Treatment room, rubber matted, with Monarch Stocks, high and low level lighting, hot water, work area.
- Trot up and lameness assessment facilities.
- Sand paddocks with shelters for laminitis cases and. restricted turnout
- Sand arena for pole and lunge work
- Fenced track around property for long-reining (currently under construction)
- 8 Post and Rail individual paddocks.
- Fields for group turnout
- Supervisory personnel always on site.
- Transportation service collecting and or delivering to and from Owners or Hospital.

This is not just turning horses away in a field, your horse will be cared for like our own. We can cater for ALL needs.
