If you want to board your dog with us and they have not been in kennels before, we do ask that they come in for a trial session. We also offer a trial session for dogs who haven't been here before , if you want to book a longer stay. We prefer these sessions to happen mid week because we are quieter and we have more time. Your dog can get used to the environment and get used to us. We don't do trial sessions because it's more money because it isn't. I've got to disinfectant the kennel, wash the bedding and spend extra time with the new dog. We do things this way because it works . If your dog is nervous and overwhelmed, we might suggest you do an overnight stay before your long stay. It gives us 100 % job satisfaction to see happy, relaxed dogs here and some just take a little longer than others.

Unless Rachel Reeves delivers further bad news in the budget, prices from March 12th, 2025 will be:

Single Dogs £16/£16.50

Two dogs sharing £26/ £27

Three dogs sharing £36/£38

For cats

Single cats £10. 50 (£11.00 from October 25)
Two cats sharing £17.00
Three cats sharing £ 22 per day

All prices are per calendar day so arrival day and departure day are chargeable.

We reserve the right to charge for the dates booked regardless of early collection. Cancellations within 7 days of boarding may incur Cancellation charges during peak periods.

I set up Jax’s Ark, in 2017.
We can house exotics, snakes, lizards, amphibian, and inverts, small animals rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, exotic mammals hedgehogs, ferrets, chinchillas and sugar gliders. to name a few!

Just a reminder that your dogs and cats should be fully vaccinated and you need to have a vaccination card (or detailed invoice from the vet) . For our kennels, we require the kennel cough inoculation which is not included in the annual vaccination- you have to ask for it. Kennel cough inoculation should be given atleast 5 days before the dogs come in ( if it is a booster) or 10 days if it is the first time. We don't want to ruin your plans or holidays but we must have seen the vaccination details or we cannot accept your dogs/cats. Thanks for your understanding
